"Excellent text editor"
Version: TextWrangler 3.5.3
Pros
This an awesome general purpose text editor that is very easy to use. It's lightweight, flexible, and is a great editor for programmers or anyone who needs to work with text files.
Cons
I wish this text editor had a wider selection of supported languages, particularly when it comes to color highlighting.
Summary
TextWrangler is a good free alternative to the more expensive BBEdit. Almost every common task for a programmer is readily available in TextWrangler. It has sftp, diffs, make/build, symbol browsing, syntax highlighting, modular expansion, scripting environment, etc. It works especially well with XML and HTML. I only wish that it had more support for languages like Actionscript 3.0. Other than that, this text editor is really swell!

"How would I know? - It will not run."
Version: TextWrangler 3.5.3
Pros
It was free.
Cons
I still want my money back. This does not even run on PPC OSX 10.4 like it states. When you run it says I need 10.5

Cons
I am sure there are some but I have not found them.
Summary
It is a good addition to your arsenal.

"Wrong version"
Version: TextWrangler 3.5.3
Pros
here is 10 characters
Cons
and here is another 10. 71 in fact (it includes spaces for OCD types) .
Summary
Says this version works on Tiger/PPC... downloaded it... It actually requires 10.5 or later. Waste of time/bandwidth.

"Total Crap"
Version: TextWrangler 3.5.3
Pros
It's free, which is probably why it's garbage.
Cons
No auto indentation, no way to save your font preference, line numbers inserted directly into your code (yes, it's THAT retarded)... no useful features, only total crap.
Summary
This piece of **** will replace your spaces with tabs, it determines what to shrink & collapse but won't let you specify your own selections, can't even remember your font preferences for files, has no auto-indentation, does not automatically enter the selection into the search criteria, adds line number INTO the code (that has got to be THE most idiotic feature in any editor in history). I don't know what retards created this but they should be cleaning toilets for the rest of their days.
