With this app, setting up a blinds schedule for your next poker tournament is quick and easy. Just enter the expected number of players and the starting chips per player and it will create a custom blinds schedule for your tournament. Then, when the tournament is ready to start, just press the play button on the timer screen and that's it -- your tournament has begun! And, new in version 2.6, the app has a Payout Calculator! It has standard presets for 1 through 10 payouts, but supports up to 100. You can modify the payout percentages however you like and it will remember your settings so you only have to change them once. It automatically rounds the payouts to the nearest whole number, and it makes sure the totals always add up correctly. As your tournament progresses and the number of buy-ins, re-buys or add-ons changes the totals and payouts in the Payout Calculator will change as well. While your tournament is running, the app will sound an alert one minute before each blinds level change, and then again when the level does change. It will also alert you to scheduled breaks, with another alert at the end of each break. You can pause the timer at any time, or just let it run until the tournament is over. The app will keep your device from sleeping while the tournament is running, so that at a glance all players can see what the current blinds are and how much time is left in the current level. You can even connect your device up to a projector, or a big screen TV so that all players can see the blinds and timer information, no matter how many players and tables you have. If you close the app when a tournament is running, or even turn off your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, it will still alert you to all events (blinds changes, breaks, etc.) with the appropriate alert sound and message. And, if you start up the Poker Timer app again, the tournament timer will start up right where it should. The app also provides powerful configuration options. You can add levels, delete levels and edit each level's small blind, big blind, ante and level duration to the precise values you desire. You can also specify the buy-in, re-buy and add-on amounts and the app will keep track of the total prize value and average stack size as the tournament progresses. The app includes over 20 sound clips that you can assign to events such as blinds change, one minute warning, break start, break end, and tournament start and end. And, if you have music playing via the iPod app or another music app on your device, the Poker Timer app will fade the music when it plays its alerts. If you have the music playing over AirPlay speakers, the alerts will play over the AirPlay speakers as well. The Poker Timer comes with many standard tournaments that you can use and adjust to your liking, and there is no limit to the number of new tournaments you can create.
