"An amazing accomplishment"
Version: TexShop 1.29
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
TexShop has become an essential tool for me in my technical writing. I'm very happy that the latest distributed version can remember undos again: for many months I used an out-of-date version and then an unpublished beta, just to have that feature.TexShop is one of the nicest LaTeX implementations I know of. I still miss Textures's ability to synchronize between the preview window and the associated source files, but I think TexShop now equals or surpasses Textures in nearly all other ways. This is quite impressive, especially since TexShop is freeware.

Ditch Word, Nisus, Mellel and all of them word processors! TeX is the way to go, and TeXShop makes it easy. And you can't beat the price. -

There are some features I miss but it's one of the best programs on the Mac to typeset with TeX. I use it to write my scientific documents on my Mac. -
"The Best TeX Environment, Anywhere, Ever!"
Version: TexShop 1.28
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
12/1/02, I said: "if also two of Textures' functions (magnifying glass, and the Ctrl-click toggle between source & preview) were implemented, I'd vote it The Best TeX Environment On Any Platform EVER!"
Well, it's got a magnifying glass, but no synchronicity toggling between source & preview. Yet. Man, are we really spoiled, or what? But then again... Could we have a keyborad equivalent for "replace" and "replace & find"? ...Um, yes; we are spoiled.
