TeXShop is a TeX previewer for Mac OS X, written in Cocoa. Since pdf is a native file format on OS X, TeXShop uses "pdftex" and "pdflatex" rather than "tex" and "latex" to typeset; these programs in the standard teTeX distribution of TeX produce pdf output instead of dvi output.
What's new in this version:
Version 1.14 of TeXShop contains a panel of common Latex symbols and commands; clicking on a symbol in the panel inserts the corresponding text into the source document. This panel is the work of Geoffroy Lenglin, who just finished a masters degree in Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT. Version 1.14 remembers tab indents, so if a line starts with several tabs, then new lines will start at that position until the tabs are cancelled.
