Duckhue the file is not corrupt the 2.6 MB is being calcuated by your browser when downloading and the number posted is calcualted by I guess the software that uploaded it it is probably somewhere in between 2.6 and 2.7.
But it is definitley not corrupt it works great as always, but I agree it might take you a long time to learn this extremely easy to use application. For everyone else it will be a snap.

I find myself using this more often than Word X (too cumbersome). Nicely done and the AppleScripts are pretty neat. -
"Get a word processor!"
Version: Tex-Edit Plus 4.5.1b1

This is a great little text editor, and if you're larcenous you can treat it as freeware and it still works forever! I paid. I'll pay again, eventually. This has saved my bacon on many occasions, and has features that I've seen in text-editors that are way more expensive and not as friendly. If you want something that's more like a word processor, then you should get a word processor. Tom Bender tells you up front that Tex-Edit is intended to be between Apple's ho-hum TextEdit and a regular word processor, but heck, with scripts and all the other frills you can add, you can turn it into a light weight word processor. It the freeware Excalibur isn't good enough as a spelling checker, go out and buy one. I know, I know, it can't hurt to ask. Well, if there's a way to do it, maybe Tom Bender can figure a way to get this spiffy shareware product to tap into the OSX spell-checking and dictionary services. -
"A GREAT program...one of the best text editors out..."

...there!!

A very robust program indeed. However, I think it REALLY needs the capability of being able to zoom in closer to what's onscreen....by that I mean view everything on your page at a higher magnification.
