Version: TestDisk & PhotoRec 6.10
"Recovered my lost partitions!"
Pros: Worked like a charm! Costs less (free)! Good online documentation.
Cons: I agree with one of the other posts in that the dos based interface is not the best or most user-friendly but if you read the online documentation, it walks you through the process pretty well.
Summary: This tool worked when others failed. I repartitioned my drive with one of those Linux based partitioning tools and it shanked two of my four partitions. After installing this tool, it found those lost partitions and updated the partition table recovering the lost drives without losing any data. Not only that, it didn't cost anything whereas other tools would have cost $50 or more.
