TeraCopy 2.01 User Reviews

"It may be a good product - but didn't do what I wanted"
Version: TeraCopy 2.01
Pros
No problems caused on install and seemed to uninstall just fine too!
Cons
What I wanted was to be able to move various file types around so I could manage my music better. It did not seem able to do this, the lowest level of selection being a directory rather than a file type.
Summary
In the end I did what I wanted using SyncToy then windows search to select files I had copied and cut - paste into the recycle bin. I note this in case it helps anyone trying to do something similar

"Great utility"
Version: TeraCopy 2.01
Pros
This is a great free utility that enhances the process of copying files with its informative user interface and fast performance.
Cons
There was a long delay before copying files started with about 100GB of data of mostly small files.
Summary
It appeared that TeraCopy was trying to enumerate the list of files before starting the actual copy process, so still use Microsoft's robocopy to handle the larger and more complex file copying jobs. However, I recommend TeraCopy on Windows Vista and 7 for use as the default copy program.

"Move/Copy/Delete files the easy way!"
Version: TeraCopy 2.01
Pros
Drag and drop option. queue files to copy/move/delete all files at same time. simple to use. very basic but has all neccessarily functions available. easy install. lightweight and fast loading. C/M/Del speed faster.
Cons
Only 1 con, moving/copying/deleting files without Teracopy (meaning TC enabled, but instead of using the TC window you use maunal cut/copy/del/send) would be slower if you enable the "make Teracopy my default..." in the options. So just disable it ^^
Summary
I downloaded 9 different moving programs and have decided to use Teracopy. TC may not be the best of the 9, but TC is something that I was searching for-- while many moving programs enable the moving/copying/deleting speed to be faster, allowing pause and resume, and queuing, I was looking for a lightweight program I can queue and copying large number of small files (image files)-- there were many progs to do so, but it required me to do more clicking (selecting directory to C/M/Del files to, wasting time for some files that is large quantity). Oh, and many of the progs does not offer drag and drop. Try this out since it is useful.
