"TeamViewer's performance was more than satifactory."
Version: TeamViewer for Linux 6.0.9224
Pros
It's easy to install and use even by a n00b like me.
Cons
It isn't 100% perfect but what is?
Summary
On two older computers, an R51 ThinkPad and an HP Pavilion 7920, both with 256k memory running at about 900mhz, both with PC/OS installed, TeamViewer performed successfully. I tested it by opening Winamp in Wine, I had Thunar open, as well as bulk rename, on the laptop and then I started TeamViewer on the laptop also. Next I connected to the laptop with TeamViewer on the desktop computer and proceeded to tag and rename music files stored in the laptop. TeamViewer crashed on the first attempt to do this but I reconnected to the laptop and after that it worked a little slowly but otherwise was fine. The quality of the video display of the remote desktop was much better than I would have expected. One of the best features of this software is its ease of use, I didn't have to configure anything.
Oops! I meant to say the laptop and desktop computers are older and have just 256mb memory and TeamViewer still ran very well.
