"works perfectly for me."
Version: TeamViewer for Debian and Ubuntu (32-bit) 6.0.9224
Pros
Allows cross platform connections from Windows to Linux to Mac with full or Viewing access depending on installation settings. It's easy to use and the changing passwords is a plus for security.
Cons
When something goes wrong, it goes really wrong. I have a friend who's screen for me has been blank since november of last year when viewed through teamviewer. Additionally, I've had to remove the database manually to fix an issue.
Summary
If you're looking for an easy to use remote desktop application, especially where multiple platforms are involved, I highly recommend teamviewer.

"Lots of potential but poor cousin of the Win version"
Version: TeamViewer for Debian and Ubuntu (32-bit) 5.0.8252 beta
Pros
-No NAT/networking config required.
-Works out of the box and does the basics of the Windows client such as simple admin of remote computers.
-Works just as well as the Windows version when administering remote clients.
-File transfers work well.Cons
-Many features don't work when remotely administering a Linux PC such as remote boot.
-Not good w/ multiple monitors (screen blank unless using "All monitors").
-Can't minimise to the System Panel.
-No auto start.
-No option to run as a service.Summary
All-in-all shows lots of potential and great for administering remote Win PCs. Fantastic to have a cross-platform option. Works just as well as Win app when using it to access remote PCs. Unfortunately this is not the case when using it to access remote Linux PC (from either Win or Linux PC). A number of the commands report "This feature is not available".
At the moment the biggest gotcha for me is that it doesn't deal well with multiple monitors. I can disable a monitor and/or change screen resolution on the remote system (using normal remote Linux system) but once I apply the setting I loose contact with the remote PC which is unfortunate.
In all fairness to TeamViewer this is only beta and its fantastic to see a cross platform program such as this. Promising start, now we'll just have to see how development goes from here. If they can create a fully functioning final version that matches the features of the Win version then I will definitely buy a license for this great piece of software. Until then though we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.
