Version: Taxact 2005 Standard Edition 0.9
Pros: I have used this software for several years, and I have been pleased with how easy it is to use. It asks questions, and you refer to your W-2s for the answers. I have had no problems, no errors (so far!) and the process is quick and easy. The basic version is FREE, which is a definite plus! It's enough to handle my tax needs. However, I think the prices of TaxAct's software are very resonable, compared to other tax software on the market.
Cons: You have to pay for the state version of TaxAct. I did this once, but now I use the online site through my state's official website, because it's free! No cons with the program, though (so far)!

Version: Taxact 2005 Standard Edition 0.9
Pros: This program keeps track of your federal and state returns and will file your federal return for free. You can fill out and print your forms online.
Cons: Must pay for Deluxe package if you want to e-file both federal and state returns from most states. But I still rate it 5, because it is very reasonably priced.

"Used this for the past three years!"
Pros: I love this tax software & have recommended it to everyone that does their own taxes. It's super easy & on the deluxe version they guarantee their accuracy or money back to you. I've never had to worry about that! I can't see me using any other software to file.

"Free version is excellent,have been using it for 5 years. No problems."
Pros: Found it very comprehensive and easy to use.Last two years filed it on line and received refund within 7-10 days.
