"by far the BEST task mgr ever! and it can go on USB!"
Version: Task List Guru 2.337
Pros
The UI/layout of this app is just amazing. It has every feature I could want yet retains simplicity of form. That's a neat trick. And, it even can go to your USB stick! (just click on "File" then "Deploy to USB Flash Drive" and it installs it (w/all your lists) in a jiffy. I'm using this on usb instad of options offered by PortableApps.
Cons
None that come to mind ....
Summary
I'm so glad I found this. but it took a LOT of browsing to get to it. Cnet, why are you burying this wonderful app so deep in your catalog?? anyway, muchs thanks to both Cnet and the developer.

"Good with a couple of niggles"
Version: Task List Guru 2.337
Pros
Fast and easy to use
Unobtrusive interface
Does what it needs to without overloading on featuresCons
No start date for tasks, which would have been useful. Can't expand folders to see all tasks in all archives at once. Means having to click to different archives, which is fine in principle but would be nice to see task names underneath without detail.
Summary
It's free! It works very well with only a couple of issues that most people might not even consider. It's light on features, which is a plus to me - I don't like programs trying to be all things to all people. Would recommend.

One can create as many lists and categories as needed.Cons
Can sometimes take a long time to add a minor task that needs to be added quickly.

Great product. Allows me to function and keep track of tasks in a much simpler fashion and includes different systems of alerts that can be custom set to one's personal needs.

"Best freeware task organizer I've ever used"
Version: Task List Guru 2.10
Pros
Super easy to use, great design, lots of features, drag drop support, system-wide hotkeys
Cons
Recurring tasks and other advanced features are available only in swift to-do list upgrade which is paid
Summary
Don't look elsewhere, this is THE task manager that beats the pants of others. I tried Task Coach, and abstract spoon to-do list, and other free programs, but Task List Guru is way better. Another cool thing is that you can later easily upgrade it to swift to-do list to get extra features - apparently it uses the same database format so the upgrade is real smooth.
