Version: Tag&Rename 3.1.5
"Good program, but I would recommend Mp3 Tag Tools 1.2"
Summary: First of all, I have to say that this is a nice program with a lot of features. I haven't tested this program thoroughly, because I'm very satisfied with the (free!) program Mp3 Tag Tools. Tag&Rename is a 30 day trial, and it doesn't offer a lot mor... read more >>

Version: Tag&Rename 3.1.5
Pros: Easy to use afer 10 minutes of playing around with it. Definently the most powerful tool out there. Easy lookups and automatic editing with amazon.com lookups.
Cons: Can be rather slow opening files. Also would be nice if it automatically put files into folders by artists.

Version: Tag&Rename 3.1.5
"most functions but hangs often"
Pros: Overall this is the best tag editor I have tried - I bought it.
Cons: Unstable under XT. Hangs fairly often and I have to shut it down through task manager.

"Powerfull and Detailed tag editing - and nothing more!"
Pros: I have been looking for a tag editor for quite a while, downloading, testing and uninstalling repeatedly. I've found it now, this one does exactly what I want: tag editing and CDDB - fill in the missing titles functionality (I actually found the Amazon.com titles more useful).
This application is powerful and detailed: besides being able to pull the artist and album from Amazon.com (or the closest match if your CD didn't have those bonus tracks...), the file/track naming functionality has all the template choices you could want and is also fully editable (want a star and two spaces between artist and song title - easy).
My hat is off to the developers for making a great tag editor that isn't also a CD ripper or media player with tag editing as an afterthought.
This is it!
Cons: I guess nothing good is free - or at least this good.

Version: Tag&Rename 3.1.5
Pros: Many good features. Downloading tag info including album art from the internet automatically, except for lyrics. Other competing software such as MP3tag does provide downloading lyrics into the tag.
Cons: The program takes a very slow response when you have many, say about 100, MP3 files loaded. Particularly so when you want to scroll up and down the list, it takes too many seconds to response to you from the screen. In this respect, it is not better than other software such as Media Tagger, a free software.
