This game brings some variety to a long line of simulators based on the boring sell/buy algorithm. The jazz soundtrack and simple graphics invoke the black-and-white era of television, wherein you must fight for prosperity. TV Manager models the basics of the TV business. You need to not only buy a popular film and add some commercials, but also broadcast it at an appropriate hour to fulfill the contract with your advertisers. You also learn the art of mixing sports, international events, fun, and lifestyle into a newscast. The tastes of your audience constantly change. The game's weakest point is the audience feedback; although it's funny, it's not very realistic. You can expand your business by opening stations in other cities, and don't forget--you need to return the bank loan that helped you buy your station. We hope the next release will add rival broadcasters for more excitement. The game, outfitted with a tutorial and extensive help, will interest business-simulation aficionados and hard-core TV enthusiasts.
