"Worked 15% of the time"
Version: TRx Recorder 4.11
Pros
The installation and operation was quick, straight-forward, and easy.
Cons
The record feature only worked about 15% of the time. Most of the time, it said the recording was started but did display the recording start time and did not show any movement on the audio meter
Summary
I cannot recommend this program because it does not work most of the time.

"Dissappointing"
Version: TRx Recorder 4.11
Cons
Everything seems to work great until it was time to play back the recording. First, the "Find & Play" menu that allows you to (you guessed it) find and play the telephone recording you made doesn't work. I had to launch from another application. Second, the MP3 converter apparently doesn't work (you have a choice of MP3 or WAV) or if it does work, it's too slow to be useful. My test was less than 1 minute. I was really hoping this would be the perfect solution for me.

"Trx Recorder does what it is supposed to do."
Version: TRx Recorder 4.01
Pros
Sometimes I telephone over the internet through "Skype" and those telephone calls I can record with this software. The recorded voices are loud and clear.

"Works well, if you NEVER lose your activation code"
Version: TRx Recorder 3.0
Pros
This software did what it was supposed to do: record phone calls.
Cons
I paid $38.80 to register this software, but then I had the misfortune of losing my registration information. When I contacted TRx to obtain my registration information, they said they could not provide that information.
I tried several times, but they said it is not technically possible for them to provide me with a new activation code, and that I need to purchase the software again.
I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM NCH SWIFT SOUND AGAIN!
Here is a quote from NCH Technical Support:
"If you do not have the details of your registration and activation code there is literally nothing we can do to provide them to you again. To continue using TRx you will have to purchase a licence upgrade to the current version of the software, which will provide you with a completely new licence registration and activation code."

"Product was very unstable and short on features"
Version: TRx Recorder 3.0
Pros
It downloaded and installed quickly and easily. The interface is extremely easy to navigate because the software has so few features.
Cons
I tried various modems, software settings and the like and could not get this product to work period. Of all of the modem recording software packages that I tested, this is the only one that would consistently fault. It is short on features and there are similarly priced products with many more features that are much more stable.

"Quick and easy"
Version: TRx Recorder 3.0
Pros
This downloaded and installed well. Only one setup program, and self-explanatory once it was installed. I was recording calls in less than 5 minutes. It does exactly what I wanted, and barely any extra stuff (Music on hold is a nice touch, in case you have to put a bill collector on hold!). It launches really well, saves a copy of the recording automatically to a network drive for more permanent records, and doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles that can be confusing if you want to mess with the record settings.
I had nor problems with the download. It's a standard ZIP file, and the setup program is only about 400k.
Cons
I haven't tested out everything to see how long I can record on the trial version...the documentation, while adequate in everything else, lacks that info.

"Tried dowloading AND installing from web. Neither worked."
Version: TRx Recorder 3.0
Cons
I tried both downloading and installing from the net. I keep getting a message that this is not a valid archive.
