"Suggested for Administrator users on NTFS."

by GezaGabriel on August 1, 2007

Pros: A good and easy to use and configure application for operating system ADMINISTRATORS if their users can't see the program's directory and modify the application's files. You can access the main file from any shell path and it'll load up within seconds. The configuration window is a bit slow but seems organized. Uninstalling, well, the best way is to run the setup again but you can get help from help files. I'm not quite sure the screenshot system can capture DirectX/OpenGl windows.

Cons: Right at system files intall ss pro wanted to go out to the net. This is a MUST, you need Internet connection for the installation :(. It'll also go out at the end of the installation.

I had a look at the suggestion: rename the file. The user got the following easy ideas: check files created since she/he thinks there's a spy; check version, where user will find original file name; check file size.

I don't know how difficult to stop the application itself - the editor refered to a difficult or unknown process -, but i don't think it can defend it's configuration files.

"It didn't work for me at all"

by davejyd on March 14, 2006

Pros: Unfortunatley, for me, not much. Although it was mostly a compatability issue with me.

Cons: I downlaoded & installed this program primarily to find something to monitor my child's IM activity - unfortunatley this software doesn't work with Trillian IM systems, so, at least for me, it was a bust.

The major deal is you have to enter keywords or phrases to get any action with the keylogger or browser monitor. I want something that monitors ALL of my child's activity, so I can read and review it. This product wasn't it. So - - On with the search!

"Simple, versatile, effective and absolutely stealth"

by moodster on June 20, 2006

Pros: Versatile: you can target your surveillance or you can make it very broad. If you like, you can target your monitoring to certain programs, certain keywords, certain users, and at certain times. I like the desktop snapshot feature the most. You can take a snapshot of the desktop as often as every minute and you can control the quality of the jpg image generated to control disk space. Also, the key logging feature is excellent. The program is extremely stealth and easy to use at the same time. From what I've tested so far, it does not generate pop-ups to prompt you to register the product, even after the trial expires. So, it should remain stealth even after the trial expires. I haven't used the e-mail feature, so I cannot review it.

Cons: I would like to be able to take snapshots more often than once a minute. Also, in the list of programs run, it would be easier if the name of the application is displayed instead of the exe file. Finally, if you decide to uninstall, it might be a problem if you don't install the program shortcuts. So, I recommend that you install them. They only show up within the account you used to install it. Will make it easier to uninstall. Otherwise, you have to create a shortcut that targets "c:\windows\sspro.exe /unistall"

    "Easy to use"

    by rbailey7160 on August 27, 2007

Pros: Easy to install. Ease of use. Quicker than another type of spy software I had once used. This program is quick in that when I bring up screenshots, say, it doesn't take a long time, it is quick.

Cons: It keeps on recording all the blackness when no one is on the computer but the computer is logged onto the person you are monitoring account.

Wish it would take screenshots sooner than every 1 minute. Would prefer at least every 30 seconds.

It is detected when you do a CTL ALT DLT and you can see the sspro in there. (under programs running)

Luckily my spouse hasn't noticed it yet.
