"Great, but loads way too slow sometimes..."

    August 24, 2014  |   By craptastico

    Version: System Surveillance Pro 7.2

    Pros

Totally stealthy, log files are easy to read, captures pretty much everything you would need to see, screenshots are awesome

    Cons

The only problem I've had is with the painfully slow log file loading time. I've waited as much as two hours for it to completely load so I can see it. Maybe the file is just considerably big, but I hope they fix that and make it faster somehow. Other than that, I love it.

    "Outstanding, delivers as promised"

    March 9, 2014  |   By Canuckista

    Version: System Surveillance Pro 7.2

    Pros

    Delivers as promised
Does not show up in task manager 'show all programs'
    easy to set up
    lots of options
    great customer support
    easy to use interface
    email delivery works perfectly
    undetected by virus scanners
    monitors everything

    Cons

    Can't think of any.

    Summary

After trying several of these products I chose this one. I even purchased a different one before and got a refund. I tried the free ones - as another commenter said, stay away from them they really are junk. They won't get you what you need. This one is perfect, works well, is not detected by AVG nor Norton SEP (even without adding exceptions, still is not detected). The customer support is amazing and very timely and helpful. I like the user interface, it's very straightforward and even looks good. The settings are easy to understand, and email setup was straight forward. I had a little trouble with getting one of the laptops to email properly, and their support staff had me up and running properly within 24 hours with their helpful suggestions. Super easy.
The emailed reports and alerts are very easy to read and understand, and include everything you need.
Updates are applied only by you, there are no little bubbles popping up on the laptop saying "Updates available for sspro" (which is a good thing for invisibility)
With internet explorer and firefox (and eventually chrome) they even have web page scanning, where the entire contents of the page are scanned for keywords.

Keep in mind that currently SSPro provides a specific level of monitoring for the Google Chrome browser which includes URL (website) logging, blocking using SSPro's "Blocked" and "Allowed" websites lists, monitoring using "Website Snapshots" but does not yet support content scanning for keywords (and blocking on keywords) like it does for internet explorer and firefox. The reason is that Google has yet to add "Accessibility" features to their browser, something most other browsers have had for some time. However, they update their system to keep up with things, so I'm sure when Google updates, they too will update their program.

I can't say enough good about this program.

"FOR ME FIVE STARS ALL THE WAY"

    January 11, 2014  |   By LighthouseFive

    Version: System Surveillance Pro 7.2

    Pros

    1. S pectacular.
    2. S table.
    3. P owerful.
    4. R eliable.
    5. O ne of a Kind.

Golden Plains Software offers a top notch Program that through the ability of the software, and stellar customer service, it simply (in my opinion) sells its self.

    Cons

So far none, everything is turning and burning just fine for me.

    Summary

In my opinion I believe this is the best Monitoring Program any one person or parent can buy for monitoring what is happening on a computer, it is a very reliable and a stable piece of software which I feel totally comfortable to have running on my computers. I have tried almost all the Trials of Monitoring Programs available on the Internet, some I wish I never even installed on my computer because they seemed a little fishy, not the case with SSPRO, I feel totally confident that all info recorded is only known buy the person who owns the program, and not Golden Plains Software, I believe it is a company, that someone who is looking for this type of program can trust, which I think is important with software of this kind. Their customer service is A++, they go all the way to make all things clear if you have any questions, (which I know from experience.) And their responses are detailed and worded like they care, which I can't say from some of the other Companies with their 3 worded answers, or reply's a month later, or none at all.
I believe that Golden Plains Software is very transparent in the description and presentation of their program and how they present themselves, from how the program works, the cost of the program, and no hidden fees, not like a lot of the others. Generally with the other Trials, any info you wanted, you had to do the leg work to ask for it, I found it was not in plain view.
Even if you don't buy the program they talk to you like you did.
Other trials just didn't work for me or looked confusing, or were overpriced, SSPRO just looks and feels just right, and when it's set up it does a great job of keeping tabs on everything, I or most anybody would be concerned with.
Sure there are other Programs can do things that SSPRO doesn't, but unless that is really important to you and you want to pay lots of Money, and More Money for Every Update, and Monthly Fees, and possibly poor customer service, then the choice is there. Don't get to caught up in the Bells and Whistles of some of the other programs, look and see if you really need them, SSPRO handles pretty much all you really need, at a more than fair enough price, with no hidden fees, and great service, and lifetime updates is around $10, which is as close to free as you are going to get.

After countless hours and days of running many, many trials SSpro was originally one of my first picks (wish I purchased it then), and I only ended up coming right back to it again.
Sometimes it seemed like there was a veil or a mask put up between you and some of the other companies, not with Golden Plains. One company that offered Free Updates with their software, during the trial caused my computer to crash and the program seemed to freeze now and then ( glad I didn't buy that one.) Once you own the software, if you need to reinstall the program for any reason you can with no problem which is something I was looking for in a program (some other companies require you to pay money to reinstall the software you just paid for which I think is wrong.)Again they present themselves professionally. They don't use "Used Car Sales Man Trickery" to sell their product.

This review reflects my opinion and my experience with SSPRO, and a lot of the other monitoring programs out there. There were only two others I had my eyes on as well, that I thought were good programs and good companies, but one didn't have what I was looking for, and the other was too much money with Monthly Fees (no thanks), if I remember correctly some of the programs that came with monthly fees, if you didn't ask if they do, they don't tell you. Golden Plains Software makes a real effort to inform you fully of what you getting into with SSPRO. After I decided to go with SSPRO I had to thoroughly purge my computer of all the other trials, because I did not feel comfortable with them on there. Now that SSPRO is the only monitoring program on my computers, I plan on it staying that way, everything is running smooth and fine, just the way it should. Don't pay a lot for a program you'll most likely get frustrated with, because it doesn't work as it should, when you can get one that is reliable, stable, easy to use, and at a price that makes it in a class of its own. Believe me when I say put countless Hours and Days and Weeks trying all sorts of different Trials, and in the end I ended up purchasing SSpro, with the Upgrade Insurance and am COMPLETELY HAPPY, and SATISFIED, and have ABSOLUTELY NO REGRETS AT ALL!!!

Thanks to Golden Plains for great piece software at a Very Reasonable Price!!!

    Updated on Jan 11, 2014

Forgot to mention that the program seems to hide it self very well, as with some of the Trials I tried that claimed to be Stealthy weren't, and the need for that is very important with this kind of software.

    "Great monitoring and support"

    November 30, 2013  |   By Oscar-Alva

    Version: System Surveillance Pro 7.2

    Pros

I've installed a lot of these programs this past month and ended up settling on System Surveillance.

    1. Monitored everything I needed. I needed more than just a key loger as I'm interested in seeing all types of activity. This program has a great trial with all options enabled so that helped to make my decision easier.

    2. Didn't run into half the setup problems I did on other programs.

They also answered my email in a fairly short period of time. In fact the reason I'm leaving a review is because they were very helpful even before I purchased which is more than I got with other companies. So far no serious issues after 10 days, I'm getting my log files by email and seems to be capturing everything.

    Cons

I requested an FTP option as this program does not have one. I am hopeful that they will add it as I would like to store the log files on an FTP account I have.

    Summary

The "free" programs I tried where simply junk so I would say stay way from those. I installed several of the non-free programs before settling on this one.

    "Very good. Worked as expected"

    February 14, 2013  |   By BRMedina

    Version: System Surveillance Pro 7.2

    Pros

Worked like a charm. Was able to install quickly and had it configured within a few minutes. Was receiving log information right away. Has a lot of options, not sure I will use them all but has a lot more than other programs.

    Cons

Needed to setup my antivirus, Malwarebytes, to allow which took additional time.

    Summary

All in all a good program to use if you need to see what's going on the computer.

    "Great product, Great support"

    June 30, 2012  |   By ph-harris

    Version: System Surveillance Pro 6.8

    Pros

Bought this last month to monitor our 14 year old's laptop. Overall, very satisfied with what it can do. Took a little bit of time to get the antivirus to allow the monitoring but after that no issues. Also, We use Webroot which was turning keystrokes into odd numbers until we figured that out and turned off the antikeylogger option. Emailed support for more information on log sending information and was impressed with their responsiveness, thought others should know.

    Cons

Does not work on iPad. Need product for the iPad too.

    Summary

We used trial for 4 days and then purchased. Very pleased with it and support.

    "Absolutely Terrible Experience"

    May 31, 2012  |   By Brendon5374

    Version: System Surveillance Pro 5.5

    Pros

If you don't buy it, you won't have wasted your money like I did. That would be a positive.

    Cons

It doesn't work. The screenshots are ok, but it does not record keystrokes. Says it does, but it doesn't. Also, I tried to install using wifi on another machine - the connection went dead for 5 seconds, so the instal failed. Reinstalled and it was useless completely.

For a buying comparison, go buy a car from a caryard and it doesn't even make it out of the yard.

    Summary

A useless program. Do not buy.
