Version: System Safety Monitor Free Edition 2.0.8
"One of HIPS out there with a lot of features for free"
Pros: It has a lot of features compared to some commercial HIPS, process termination, global hook control, outbound network control, service control...
Cons: A beginner may have troubles with SSM if learning mode is unchecked as it asks the user a lot whether to run this program, to allow this program to hook on this DLL. May prevent some programs to update (I suggest turning it off before updating programs). Can slow down some versions of XP (Tested with my friend's XP vs mine).
