    "Good, but deeply flawed"

    June 30, 2012  |   By jgawne

    Pros

For a long time I loved this program. It fixed a number of issues, but you had to be careful on fuill auto as it would do thgins like clear yuor trash- and when you went to look for something there....

    Cons

MAJOR PROBLEM - apparently, with Visrta SP 2 it KILLS your Microsoft installer package. After days of work I finally got them to admit this, and none of the fixes found on line will work. This means I have to REBUILD EVERY FRIGGING VISTA MACHINE I used this on. They don;t even really seem to be sorry about it and say "oh, well, we'll deal with it in a future build, sometime. Maybe"

    Summary

3 months ago I would have said it was a good program. Now I hate it! and hate how the company has been treating meYou'd think with a major issue liek this they would immediatly sic a pile of top engineers on a fix for ttheir poor customers, but no. The best they can do is suggest a full install, then manually exclude the MSI registery keys from their program. SHAME SHAME SHAME!

jgwane is absolutely right- it erases system installer and their suggestions DO NOT WORK! Oh yes, they say their engineers are working on it- BS!
The only solution I found was to restore two of my machines to factory- thus erasing everything. This is a major flaw to what i had considered a very nice piece of of saftware. I have not used it since and will not be renewing my subscription. How CNET can rank it so high after this is beyond credibility. SHAME ON CNET TOO

Wow man, that sucks. Such a problem is HUGE, and they tell u they MIGHT fix it in a future release. What a **** of a company. I was thinking of buying SysMech, but after this, HELL NO. They don't deserve to sell their software.
