"Wish I Bought This 2 Days Ago!"

    November 22, 2013  |   By mcgvr

    Version: System Mechanic Free 12.0.0.63

    Pros

Don't have to be a computer geek to use
    Easy installation
    Just install and click FIX
Multiple features including DRIVER FINDER, when your ready to use them.
System Mechanic 12 did it all and i got it for 29.95 through the iolo site.

    Cons

Just got it last night, so none so far.

    Summary

Let me save you days of frustration and research: just buy this and end the misery! By the time i finally decided to buy this, my computer was so bad i had to install this in safe mode with networking. I did have to reinstall my Norton, but i think that may have been the problem to begin with.

    "Great product!"

    November 18, 2013  |   By sonicthehedgehogca

    Version: System Mechanic Free 12.0.0.63

    Pros

It does what it says. System Mechanic pro can prevent a reinstall of windows. Improves the systems speed over time. Various tools that can be run. Protects system with system shield, improves response over time.

    Cons

PC Total Care cant run tasks on a schedule. Should include a list of automated tasks with the ability to select a schedule for tools to run, and the ability to have multiple schedules so that you aren't setting it to run all tools at once which does take quite a bit of time.

    Summary

Excellent product, technical service could improve. Overall 5 out of 5. Please add the ability for multiple schedules to run, this way if I have some tools run in one and set in another task tools that take a long time to run.

    "Software Trashed My Computer"

    November 2, 2013  |   By tjscott64

    Version: System Mechanic Free 12.0.0.63

    Pros

Installed easily, seemed easy to use. And that's where the good news ends.

    Cons

Made my machine 10 times worse. It cleared out two log ins, made the machine unstable. Then when I went to roll it back via System Recovery, all previous recovery points were gone! I know there were at least ten of them. I checked, and did a recovery point purposely before the install just in case. Then tech and customer support were non-existent.

    Summary

I had to format the drive, and reinstall Windows 7 and all my software. After 2-1/2 years using this machine, I probably should have done that anyway.

STAY AWAY! I know some people here wrote it worked great. But it's not worth the risk, time and expense, if it screws up your computer like it did mine.

    Updated on Nov 12, 2013

Update: I had purchased the product via their website. (The free version just tells you what's wrong, but doesn't fix anything). It was about $39.

I had sent an email to tech support outlining the problems it caused and requesting a refund. The reply was a little slow coming, but they did acknowledge the cause was an issue with the software, they were working on a fix, and issued me a full refund.

So in the end, everything worked out. My Dell XPS 17 Windows 7 Pro system is running great after the format and reinstall. Sure, that took some time. But even before the IOLO software issue, it was buggy and running slow. I'll make that time back in a couple months.

"Excellent so far with this software super easy to use!"

    October 21, 2013  |   By Tony_Guitar

    Version: System Mechanic Free 12.0.0.63

    Pros

Great software. Solved my start ups. Very good. Highly recommended.

    Cons

None so far. Just purchased at retail store. No cons so far.

    Summary

This is the Paid version bought at Retail store. Brand new as I write here. After years of taking my PC numerous times to different tech's to get fixed, this seems to have solved the problems of error messages of failure to shut down properly blue screens on start up and slow start ups. All the Techs did at service was re-install windows every time.

"Could not get to work, they wanted $200 to 'fix' my PC"

    October 14, 2013  |   By Wilt

    Version: System Mechanic Free 12.0.0.63

    Pros

    Can't think of any!

    Cons

AOL provided System Checkup, which found many issues. Then I purchased System Mechanic and installed it, I could not get it to run. Called Tech Support, they could not get it to install and run either. They downloaded Malwarebytes and rant it, and claimed my PC was infected, and they wanted $200 for one year of support, and to fix the infection. I declined. Since I have Win7, I merely reloaded a System Image of my PC from 9 days earlier, ran Malwarebytes (which said my PC was free of infections), and saved myself $200. What a scam!

    Summary

    Beware of system support scam.

    "1 out 5 point"

    October 11, 2013  |   By HarryG1234

    Version: System Mechanic Free 12.0.0.63

    Pros

it help little for cost of $69 dollars

    Cons

very expenses for 1 year membership with catch

    Summary

    System Mechanic 12 Version,

I been searching for many years to have good system which will keep my pc in good condition, let me tell you the truth, this system I would say is better than others, but there is catch that is, you and I think once we paid $49.95 for year and installed this system on your pc that everything will work properly and your PC stay up to date and will work like new, here is news for you, no, no, no it won't do you any good. if you own this software try this out go to your system and ask for duplicate file, your system will tell you that you have 5 or 6 GB corrupted duplicate files on your PC, and you can't remove them because there is no option, only way you can remove them is if you call technician at IOIO System. when you call them they will take a control of your PC and then they will show you those corrupted files, and you are so happy that technician is going to remove those corrupted files for you, no that is where catch is, you need to pay $199 for one PC or $299 for three PC for tech support for the year before technician can help you to remove those files, let's face this you and I are not computer guru, how the hell we know that those files are corrupted files, or they are placed there by computer guru to show us and make us feel bad about it so they can get more money out of your pocket. I am really bothered by this scam, I am Canadian and I want to protect my Canadian people from these scam companies, and my name is Harry and I am not afraid to tell this story, if IOIO system people are reading this then you need to stop this, please create software which will help people and don't create these scam software.
