Summary
I have used this software for two large online surveys. First was a bargaining survey for a group of 5000 people. Using the results the software tabulated was a great negotiation tool and in the end I was able to predict the outcome within 2 points. Any questions I had with using the software were answered promptly and professionally and when my computer crashed I was provided exceptional support. Would definitely recommend this software for online surveys where accuracy counts.

Simple and intuitive interface. Excellent integrated web survey system. Reasonable price. Built-in data analysis tools, and able to export data to Excel and other data analysis software.
Cons
Upgrades between versions (SurveyGold 7 to SurveyGold 8, for example) are not free, but they are reasonably priced.
Summary
It took me two hours in SurveyGold 8 to accomplish what it took me two weeks to accomplish in Adobe LiveCycle Designer. SurveyGold 8 is intuitive and easy to use, while remaining flexible. The web survey system is excellent.
The creators of SurveyGold 8, Golden Hills Software, offer superb customer service and support for the software. Working in a government institution I ran into several problems that most users won't have, such as issues with firewalls. Golden Hills Software offered me quick, courteous, and personalized support for my peculiar problems.
I highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to create and distribute surveys. -

Pros
I've been using SurveyGold for 5+ years, and have found it fits in - with MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint - as one of my most frequently used applications. I use it consistently for event registration, post-training feedback, company-wide and small-scale surveys, and simple quizzes and tests. I like the fact that there is no per-respondent or per-item cost and it can output a single design into HTML (with no complicating Java or other extensions) and a Word document, as well as it can be used for live/phone interviews. I also like its ability to generate basic Word reports automatically, as well as Excel spreadsheets to work directly with the data. When problems or questions have arisen, Chuck (the software's author) has been quick to respond and help.
Cons
The few shortcomings have been in the automatically generated reports and, to a lesser extent, with slightly non-standard user interface. Most of these have been addressed or are being addressed in the recent updates.

"Valuable Communications tool for both Internal and External Customers"

Pros
SG is easy to use...I have taught over a dozen users in our organization how to use it. Interface is straightforward. I primarily use the Web Forms and it's great. Reporting options are varied and easy to access... we use WEB, Word, Excel and SPSS reports formats. Custormer/Technical support is great.
Cons
Editing formats are limited. I use third party software like CoffeeCup to spruce up the finished web forms.

We're a non-profit networked with other non-profits in a statewide plan. Assessments are vital to our fuction. For what we're doing, it is a fantastic tool. Easy and quick to build surveys. The support from this company is wonderful as well.
Cons
Some quirks with large surveys (300 questions), but upgrades and improvement from the creator(s) are supportive. Could use more graphic art capability, but I'm satisfied!!

Summary
The interface is so simple it's easy to overlook the actual functionality of this toolset. We went through a Six Sigma DFSS process to select the best tool that met our needs and SurveyGold Pro is the clear winner!
