I use it in addition to my regular antivirus. It certainly couldnt hurt. With all the stuff out there, this makes doubly sure your system is clean.

I've used Superantispyware, the full version, in the past and I'm impressed with the product.

However, I'm not sure they understand what Free means. To me it doesn't mean a ONE TIME use and then it won't update. I decided to try the Superantispyware Free version, because of past experience, and recommended it to a lot of friends in a tech tip page I run on Facebook. I didn't know that I'd only be able to update on the intial installation. Now before I can update the definitions I have to 'purchase' a license. Even TRIAL version generally will function for at least 30 days.
I also didn't like the quck scan when you finish the install, it scanned things I didn't want scanned before I could get to any settings to exempt that drive.
I have used and still use some very excellent FREE software, Malwarebytes being on of the most prominent, and the FREE version has functined perfectly for several years on two different computers.
I'm very displeased, as a businessman myself, with this kind of sales tactic and I've let them know about it. No response as of yet....Summary
Although I think this is a great tool, I'd be hard pressed to recommend it to anybody again. And I feel this is very shady sales tactics to basically force you to purchase if you want to continue using their product properly. If I tried this with my customers I wouldn't be in business long. I'm surprised they are still on the market if this is how they operate.
Not a happy camper about any of this, especially after quite a few of my friends have downloaded it and used it their ONE time and now are upset at me to a degree. -

-Good Install.
-Does exactly what it says on the slogan.
-Intense removal of Spyware and problems.
-Lots of removal choice.
-Works well with other Anti-Spyware, Anti-Malware and Anti-Virus programs.Cons
-Minor popup problem (attempts to get you to buy the full version, but its no big deal).
-Good and Bad reviews.
-Steep price considering what the free version offers to the userSummary
A wonderful download overall that offers removal tools like no other! Works well with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware & Anti-Rootkit to remove all traces of Malware from your computer!
Would be silly to pay for, however...

Pros
I used the Free edition for a year before buying the PRO edition. Main different was the Pro edition has real-time protection, and a few other things. It's a great, easy to use application that updates itself for the newest spyware/virus protection regularly.
Cons
Minor issue, I had an older netbook with 1gb RAM and this program used up alot of memory and CPU. Not too much but enough to cause some programs I used to lag. Otherwise I installed this onto my main PC and it runs in the background flawlessly.
Summary
You have nothing to lose when it's free, and the free version doesn't expire like other programs.

Having been a long time customer of McAfee, Norton, and Rootsweb I can honetly say this does everything I need it to do and as much as the high dollar programs for free. I am willing to shell out some dollars for this (after I try it a little longer, its only been a month).

Had operating issues with viruses and tried numerous programs to get rid of them, but had no luck. SuperAntiSpyware found viruses that other security software overlooked. And it's free!

To the makers of Super Anti-Spyware, can you guys make a portable version that doesn't have an expiration date?

I downloaded a portable version of your product a week ago, stored it in my USB because I needed it to scan and remove infections and then to fix the damages made by the virus in my friends PC which has no internet connection (the PC was set-up in a remote location) but when I got there after a week the program informed me that I needed to download a new one.What a bummer!
I hope you folks can make the portable version updatable, thanks anyway and I'm looking forward to the next portable & updatable version of SuperAntiSpyware. It was almost perfect guys except for the expiry date. Can you fix that problem? Thanks and Goodluck guys! :) -

Ran this on my computer and my neighbors. On mine, it detected tracking cookies that norton and mbam missed, with some adware. On my neighbors, it found trojans, adware, and tracking cookies that mcafee and mbam missed.
Cons
Not very many.
Summary
I recommend this product along with mbam.
