Version: Sunbelt Kerio Personal Firewall 4.40
"It's was okay until..."
Pros: Very solid and easy to configure. Free. Pretty much done it's job without letting its self be so well known if ya know what I mean.
Cons: It was my pick till I had a fight with it over downloading files using IE. Don't know what it's problem was but it starting freezing everything and I didn't feel like fixing the problem. Otherwise, a great firewall.

Your comment and another on this page caught my attention. That it started freezing everything. I have a laptop that did that and we had it happen on another. A pc tech put in a new hard drive on one of them and said not to have the Kerio Firewall on the computer because windows already had a firewall that was plenty. Now that we had another laptop freeze (and can't get it to work -- it freezes trying to bring up windows now. I'm thinking it may be the firewall but don't know how to fix it as it won't boot with a bootable disc or anything. Your thoughts??
