"Subliminal messages don't work"
Version: Subliminal Mind 1.0
Summary
Sorry, but subliminal messages have been proven not to work. The study that everyone references, the one where "they" used subliminal messages to raise Coke prices by 18% was NEVER able to be replicated. In other words, it was a hoax, if not an overblown rumor. But, on the basis of this rumor, the FCC did consider putting restrictions on subliminal messages. I don't think they actually did, though. Think about it, wouldn't something like this program have come out looong before this if it was at all effective? Your mind simply cannot pick up messages that flash high speeds. Your sub conscious mind is not using some kind of 3rd eye. Furthermore, the language of the subconscious is images, particularly in America. Reading is certainly not going to have any effect on it and even if it did, few people have the knowledge of how to phrase suggestions in order for them to have any effect. There are ways to program your mind, this just isn't one of them.
