"Legacy baggage but still occasionally need it"

Unstuffs items that were Stuffed with Stuffit.
Cons
While earlier versions of the Expander software managed to stay out of your way, the latest version likes to hang around after you're finished with it reminding you how much you can't wait until no one ever uses Stuffit to compress anything ever again.

Easy to load. Opens files automatically when double clicked.
Cons
None seen so far. Have not opened any .rar yet but certainly opens all zip files and is transparent to the way it fits into the way I work.

Summary
CNET needs to report which Mac O/S is compatible, with every Mac program CNET - provides, before downloading ANY software they promote.
Worked well on prior O/S downloads until OSX 10.7 Lion
This is especially important with so many OSX 10.7 Lion incompatible software. A small note would suffice if the offering is not compatible.

Summary
Had it since Mac OS 8 - very reliable - updates keep on top. Don't use it often but very handy when needed. Recommend Stuffit Deluxe for overall flexibility.

Some years ago used to use Stufflt quite a bit then apparently didn't need it. With my new found use I may try it more eften but for the moment I have only praise. 4 stars because of limited experience with the program at this time.
