"Works great with Streamm@te!"
Version: StreamTransport 1.0.2.2171
Pros
Tried all of the add-ons for Firefox. Nothing worked. Only options Google came up with were TubeDigger and GetFLV - both expensive programs. This works just fine for capturing video off of certain websites.
Cons
None, nada, zippo
Summary
Top notch program that works as it should

"Doesn't work"
Version: StreamTransport 1.0.2.2171
Pros
use to be a great program
Cons
doesn't work on anything but flash related content.
Summary
the postings after 2011 that say this program works good are not valid. This program "WAS" great but now is defunk due to lack of updating the code.

"Superb, does stuff that others don't"
Version: StreamTransport 1.0.2.2171
Pros
I hate hyperbole, but I have used this software to download embedded videos where others (E.g. Download helper in Firefox) have failed to even detect the video on the page.
If nothing seems to work, I suggest you try Stream Transport!Cons
Not integrated into a browser as an add on.

"Easy and Free-ware though doesn't work for me."
Version: StreamTransport 1.0.2.2171
Pros
Easy and Free
Cons
Doesn't work with the encrypted flv rtmp (copyright protected) videos I want. There is a program (only one that I've found)that can do this (GetFlv and it's expensive[other versions doesn't work]). I've tried all the popular programs and some less popular, of which most have been shareware - no one except this G.F. have been able to record the stream of these commercial news-sites I'm interested in... As trial this G.F. only works fore 30 days or so and only record 50 of the video. But technically it works fine, so there should be another program as well...

"No longer works"
Version: StreamTransport 1.0.2.2171
Pros
None: It no longer works!
Cons
It's useless now!
Summary
In 2010 it was a GREAT program. It's been crippled somehow, and will not record anything. Wish they would fix it.

"Works exactly as intended!"
Version: StreamTransport 1.0.2.2171
Pros
Easy to use interface.
Some of the comments have been about accidently downloading ads, this can easily be avoided by manually typing in the video address.
Works on many different sites, such as Hulu, Megavideo, and even VideoZer!Cons
On slower connections, multiple downloads constantly fight for speed, which actually isn't much of a problem.
Summary
This is a fine piece of software that works exactly as I expected it to. I haven't noticed a significant loss of quality from anything I downloaded, audio or video. Supports multiple downloads and works well.
Keep in mind people. this is FREE software that offers the same services as other products that cost $45! -
