"A Very Good Start"
Version: StockMarketEye 2.8.4
Pros
The program is reasonably fast and easy to use. Charts look great. Printer output is very good. Export works well.
Cons
Create your watchlists and portfolios offline or when the markets are closed to save resources. Prints to pdf file instead of directly to printer. Import doesn't work at all.
Summary
It's a good trial program,.but since some functions don't work, I wouldn't suggest buying it at this time. When everything works, I'd strongly recommend it. Till then, download it and use it for 30-days. Then wait to see what happens.

Summary
My actual rating is 2.5 stars (Marketeye 2.8.1). I was very excited when I first tried this program. I entered in the 15 or so stocks in my real portfolio and also a watch list with about 10 other stocks I like to follow and the program worked well. Then I became more ambitious and created a watch list with about 200 stocks and that's where my problems began. It took forever to get quotes for these stocks with a 7 megabit DSL connection. The program retrieves data from Yahoo and Google (suposedly) . The yahoo stock database is pretty good and it's free but the servers are very unreliable which is why this program doesn't work well. Every time I try to update my watchlist about 20% of the stocks refuse to update at all or take a ridiculously long time (hours). The truth is that if you are a serious investor that wants to follow a lot of stocks is that you need to get your quotes from a private provider which will set you back a few bucks each month. The program currently does not offer any access to private data providers. If the issues with retrieving quotes were fixed this would be a great program. Unfortunately this will require Yahoo to upgrade it's servers so they will be more reliable which I don't see happening anytime soon. The program also freezes up frequently which is not good and seems to require a lot of memory which is an issue with many laptop computers.
On the plus side the program offers more fields than other programs like Tradetrakker. It will allow you to track the progress of your stocks over a 1 day , 1 week , 1 month , 3 month , 6 month, 1 year , 2 year , 3 year or even 10 year period which is useful. What impressed me most though was how the program developers are continually issuing program updates and also will take the time to answer your emails. I get the feeling that they genuinely are interested in making this the best program out there and want the users to be happy which I can't say about most software developers these days. This gives me hope that the issue with retrieving stock data will be improved at some point.
Bottom line : If you only follow 25 stocks or so the program is good. However if you are a serious investor interested in following a large number of stocks you'll be better off biting the bullet and buying a pricier professional quality program with access to a reliable private stock database. Also if you have a somewhat underpowered laptop or pc , stabilty issues will drive you crazy with Stockmarketeye. If they can figure out how to reliably retrieve data so users can follow more than just a few stocks and improve stabilty issues I'd give this 5 stars. As long as they rely on free servers like Yahoo to retrieve data - well you get what you pay for : Unreliability and slow performance. -

"excellent uncluttered charting /portfolio software"
Version: StockMarketEye 2.4.0
Pros
Great Customer support, features continously being added. Most exchanges, stocks, options and currencies supported. Further exciting features should come soon. Cant wait.
Cons
still some features missing, alerts, news Although i believe these will be added. Some sort of sync to an Iphone app wold be great.
Summary
I have spent a lot of time testing various offerings; nothing could beat excel and yahoo Finance Portfolios. This has now changed! MUCH faster to flick through portfolios and watchlists, compare fundamentals and charts. (although a link to excel would still be great).
Nice layout, not overcomplicated. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
