"This is just what I've been looking for."
Pros
Can have note stay on top or not. new notes are easy to start. Editing is simple.
Cons
The only thing I would change is the ability to put different size font per note

You can do what you want. Highlight the text you want in the different font, right-click the highlight and select "font" from the context menu.
