The days of cluttered physical desktops, with dozens of yellow notes everywhere, are over. There are plenty of programs to help create virtual notes, but Sticky Notes sets itself apart from the pack with its ease and simplicity.
This free program embeds itself into your tray and creates a new note when double-clicked. Immediately, a square pops up with a Menu button, an option to hide or make the note visible, and a clock at the bottom telling what time the note was created. Typing a reminder is simple and easy and doesn't really differ from any other notes program. Where Sticky Notes gets ahead of its competition is with its options. Clicking on the Menu brings up a long list of ways to customize the program. From setting its priority, to changing the color, setting an alarm, transparency, and even options to print, there are plenty of ways to configure the program to your liking.
Sticky Notes quickly and easily makes notes for anyone interested in staying organized and our complaints are fairly minimal. One big issue we had was that when new notes are created, they stack on top of one another and must physically be staggered. This may cause some notes to get lost in the shuffle. That is a small issue, though, and we recommend this download for anyone looking for notes.

From Igor Vigdorchik :The Sticky Notes application allows you to create electronic sticky notes directly on your Windows desktop. The Sticky Notes are just like paper post-it notes for your computer. Jot down tasks, messages, ideas, appointments, phone numbers, birthdays in a note and stick it on the desktop. A note can be positioned anywhere you wish, or hidden in your task bar, then searched and displayed later. Notes can be resized. The note's contents can be formatted to include fonts, colors, transparency and hyperlinks. Also notes have a click thru capability. Once on screen, notes will remain where placed until closed, even through reboots. Alarms can be added to a note to act as a reminder. Sticky Notes application is small and simple and all notes are kept in the text file. It does not use the registry.
Version 2.1 features a note's priority, an ability to modify a title's font and a color, hotkeys, in-place title edit, selecting a tray icon action, selecting a single or a double tray menu icon click, automatically backing up notes every 30 min, setting the title of new notes to the current date, making text in a note to be bulleted or numbered.

"Light weight, FAST and it works. Wow!; this is free?"
Pros: * Light weight. Essentially no impact on system resources.
* Customizable to significant degree, including colors, transparency and hiding.
* Has a backup helper built-in. Very nice. (Could be automatic, please.)
* Many nice features in options.Cons: No cons:
* Date Stamp: option for numbers only
* Ditto for date in title. Like mmyydd.
* Border color: Option to turn off the border or set it's color.
* Title bar: color same as note.
* Auto backup: auto w/ Save.
* Autosave. Save note when created.Summary: Does everything it says it will plus all that it should and does it all quite well. Price is amazing.

"Excellent product with one major flaw"
Pros: Unobtrusive and easy to use
Cons: The date and time stamped at the bottom of each note is somewhat blurry.

Pros: It may be good for people who wants to keep voice notes on their desktop
Cons: It does not allows you to use your keyboard to write something..
it only works with mouse, your notes will look like a 4 yr kid's drawing...Summary: i would not recommend this software to anyone who likes their desktop neat and clean...

"Good only if you like "disappearing magic tricks"."
Pros: When it is not hiding, works great and is a wonderful help.
Cons: Completely disappears from one day to the next. No trace of it, except the original download. To have to install it every day is unacceptable. Wish I knew how everyone else seems to keep it going from day to day.
