"Total rip-off - AVOID THIS COMPANY!!"
Version: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional 4.2
Pros
1. Seemed easy to use, if I had been able to use it.
2. Nice, clear interface.Cons
1. Didn't work.
2. Useless customer service.
3. Can't do what it claims to do.
4. Forget about refund if it doesn't work.Summary
Bought this in attempt to recover data from unreadable DVD-ROM. Claims that it works on DVDs (from their site, review sites, their own help files) are denied by company AFTER I bought it. They did send me a file for DVDs - only helpful response I ever got - but that too failed. Ignored requests for refund as they explained it is a product for whole lifetime. Not much help if it doesn't work. A total loss of $50, like burning it on the stove. Move on to folks who support their products.

"Don't Do It! It's a ripoof in a slick package"
Version: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional 4.2
Pros
Great promises..
Cons
Software doesn't work, there's no customer service that's worth having, and THEY DON"T GIVE REFUNDS even if their software fails to work. None! Out of the question. Here's what they said...
A client is entitled for refund if...
- Our technical support wing opines that no recovery is possible due to any software limitation.
They couldn't determine it... so they refused.. even thoughI sent them a screenshot of the error that popped up everytime I tried to use it. They couldn't "opine" I had a problem...really?Summary
Stay away. I eventually got the program sold by my card manufacturer (Lexar) and it worked perfectly the first time. This company should be ashamed..

"work perfectly"
Version: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional 4.2
Pros
Worked perfectly for me , I had tried Runtimes software called Getback NTFS once before and it was outstanding and while it had worked ok in the past it did not work on this drive , so i tried Stella and it worked so worth having both at hand i think . Stella took 2 days to scan the drive and then another day to copy 300 gigs of data back. bit fiddly to get used to as it is not as easy to use as Runtimes software called Getback NTFS
Cons
was slow to scan and fiddly to learn but one tends to only learn how to use recovery software when you really need it so hard to say as it actually work well. ,some files were lost but concidering the drive was unreadable in windows it did an outstanding job for me. saved me 3 months work.
Summary
Worth having both stella Pheonix and Runtimes GetbackData as the both have there merits, just depends on what type of problem you have. if one does not recovery and you are desperate then buy the other one too. Stella recovered 99% of my data.

"Fond of the products like these"
Version: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional 4.2
Pros
Each and every deleted file from my partitioned hard drive get recovered completely without any annoying messages or error's. Someone may get error messages due to compatibility issues or due to faults in there system configuration.
Cons
Not any to list
Summary
Anyone can test and purchase without paying any attention to those bogus messages who don't even try the products and instead try to build there own company products. Stellar Phoenix is completely different from the other data recovery services and will surely give you the valuable results of your expanses.

"BEWARE. IT'S TERRIBLE!!!!"
Version: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional 4.2
Pros
There are no pros to the company or the software. It's a ripoff
Cons
Too many to list. See my review.
Summary
So, I finally got all my mail back but not before having one of the worst customer service experiences in my life. I downloaded the application from Enstella: http://www.exchangeemailrecovery.com.
DON"T do this. This company was worthless beyond belief. Their program continually got a runtime error on 4 different computers and 2 different .edb files. I actually let them into one of my workstations to see for themselves and see if they could correct the problem. No go. They kept telling me to download the latest update to the program. So, I downloaded 4 different updates. Still crashed. They refuse to give me my money back ($299.00) because after the 3rd time of them getting into my computer and watching them poke around my Outlook files, I wouldn't let them back on. They say that unless I allow them to correct the problem, they don't have to give me my money back. BTW, this went on for a week and around 20 hours of my time, not including how long it took for their program to run -- each time it had to start over, it was a 5-10 hour process and then it would crash again.
So, I poked around some more and found two more applications, one of which worked flawlessly -- Stellar Phoenix Mailbox Recovery (or something like that): http://www.stellarinfo.com.
It took that program about 10 minutes to deepscan an 8 gigabyte .edb file and then I was able to recover each mailbox into its own .pst file and import that back into my new Exchange server. Granted, it was $600 instead of $300 but my time savings were worth 10 times that much.
Lesson learned. I'll probably not get my money back from Enstella but at least I can pass the word around about how terrible a company they are and how terrible their software is. -
"Failed to Deliver; Beware of Return Policy"
Version: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional 4.2
Pros
Courteous staff (at least through email).
Cons
Badly designed interface makes it impossible to move progressively through a recovery strategy; results uneven; user support means giving them full access to your computer (can anyone say "identity theft"?)
Summary
Don't believe the hype on the graphically slick website with all the seeming seals of approval. This company is after sales, not user satisfaction. It will only refund a sale if the product malfunctions (what if it simply is badly designed in the first place?) and if you also give their tech people FULL REMOTE ACCESS to your computer so they can try to "recover" your data (can you imagine a bigger breach of system privacy and data security?). If not yes to both conditions, no dice--they won't refund. Stay away from this company and its products; be sure to warn anyone you consider a friend.

"looked promising but failed to deliver"
Version: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional 4.2
Pros

"Total waste of money. DO NOT BUY!"
Version: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional 4.2
Pros
None at all
Cons
Doesn't work at all. Pretends to be able to recover the data in the free version but after purchase is not able to retrieve the data. It also makes it impossible to attempt any retrieval by others program by completely erasing all data from the disk.
Summary
Avoid at all costs.

"DO NOT PURCHASE SOFTWARE"
Version: Stellar Phoenix Windows Data Recovery - Professional 4.2
Pros
None that I can think of.
Cons
I purchased the PST recovery tool, and it only recovered 6MB from a 3GB file. The support team wouldn't refund my money after many emails. DO NOT waste your time with this software or company.
