"Don't buy this product, Awful product awful support"

At least you can view the corrupted emails in the PST. You can't do anything with it though!

SLOW, i have a 2GB PST that took over an hour to scan then when you come to save it you have to close your Outlook for it to work then it took 4 hours before it crashed and failed. Other times it crashed after 1 hour. Tried their support and they expect you to blindly give them access via Teamviewer without a phonecall to warn you that they are starting to work. When you do contact support they don't actually answer your questions just give out email templates. I've had two emails from two departments EXACTLY the same answering differant questions.
Then i asked to have a refund but i have to go through their non-existant support before they will give me one. Tried calling the 24 hour support line in the UK but no one answers i had to go through sales to get anywhere.Summary
One of my biggest mistakes of software purchasing was buying this software from this company.

Pros
Corrupted pst files are recovered and you can use Outlook again. The time to resolve or fix large files (2gb+) is reasonable (2-3 hours), though not as fast as implied.

Cost $129, is a lot for repair. Despite the claims of Stellar Support on other reviews, the cost is not clear, nor the free trial version explanation. I was warned by another reviewer of the cost. If your Outlook data is imporrtant enough, as mine was to me, then it was worth it. Another big con was that not all my files were restored. There is a lost and found folder that has that serves as a "junk pile". I have been able to find some files there, but there are others that I am not sure where they ended up. Bottom line, not all files and folders are recovered in a manner that you can find or use them again. I retained my corrupted file and have set it up so that I can still open it to look for specific files. If I were not able to do that, I would not be pleased with the software for the money. It should be flawless at this price, and it is not. Last 'con'-it recovers a lot of files that had already been deleted, this was annoying, as you have to look through junk, in case of errors.
Summary
Bottomline, it is an okay product for repair and being able to use Outlook. The cost is high when compared to the overall functionality.

I installed on the customer's system and the license says its non transferable so if true that's a waste for me.

My customer managed to corrupt one of their critical user's PST files and could not access their data. I tried OutlookFix and it was a complete rip off, took over 48 hours to attempt repair of 4GB PST and failed. Stellar Phoenix Outlook PST Repair took the same PST and restored all 4GB to its original state in 3 hours. Interface was easy to use and created a fully functional restore copy that was in the same format as before. Also, if you download the Free trial first you will be able to actually see what it will recover.

After 1x00CCCC0B kind of error, installed, but their recovered OUTPUT.PST file (5 hours for 4GB file) was itself corrupt: reported 34 deleted emails from OUTBOX, most of the SENT box reclaimed emails had had no timestamp, and the OUTLOOK file was not the problem. Moved it to second machine, no errors; system
restore on first system was the error, moved original back and no errors. Then company REFUSED to refund (but, THANK YOU AMEX),
claiming they required me to spend more time with technical suppport; first call when I saw the 34 deleted from outbox recovered got an indian accent who hung up on me when he couldn't explain how I could have deleted from the OUTBOX, second call went to a full voice mailbox. Wish I had found the CNET review first. -

The software works as it promises. To add as an information, software has two versions - free/demo download and the full download. The free download software is for the convenience of user only so that he / she could check the repair capability of the software. Demo version of the software scans PST file and provides the preview of your lost Outlook objects. If you get satisfied with the performance of the software then for the actual recovery of the PST file you need to register and get the full download version of the software which is paid. For any type of query regarding purchase process, software installation etc. user can easily contact the technical support of Stellar.

I have used the Stellar Phoenix Outlook PST Repair software and in my case it did a nice job. The software delivers the results as it promises. I am still thankful to Stellar for saving my valuable emails and contacts. That time I am in a great need to use a tool to repair my Outlook then someone recommended me Stellar Outlook PST Repair tool. I checked its demo version and it made me very happy when I saw the preview of all my lost emails.
I evaluated more about the software and made the decision to purchase it after complete satisfaction. Everything went smoothly from purchase to the recovery of my emails and I am

The developer hides the fact that you have to pay $129. What a waste of time. It scans the corrupt pst file ... and after a long time, ask you to register to continue. Don't waste your time on this.

You can't really "try" the product if you can't save the recovered file w/out paying full price!! Saw no indication (before reading the review above) that it wouldn't work with a 64-bit system! Waste of time-could have maybe found something else.
Summary
The free "try" is worthless because you can't use it to solve a problem without paying! Publisher not upfront with this, nor with the fact that this program won't work with a 64-bit system! I would have been willing to pay, say $20 to fix Outlook--cheaper than hiring a consultant, but not to pay full price for a program I will probably never use again! My fault for not reading the reviews before I "tried" it, so I wouldn't have wasted the time, especially with my 64-bit system, but I would not purchase anything from these people after this experience!
