"The statistics calculator makes statistics seem easy"
Version: Statistics Calculator 3
Pros
The product is intuitive and can readily be used for business or study. The help guide is a well done summary of basic statistical concepts
Cons
The two tailed test is programmed in, and can be a little confusing to users trying to perform a one tailed test.

"Researchers: a quick and easy statistical calculator!"
Version: Statistics Calculator 3
Pros
Software was easy to install and conduct quick analyses. Statistics included Analysis of Variance, descriptive statistics, regression, sample size estimation and other tests. Statistical tests are selected from the menu bar, data is entered directly into fields and the test is started by selecting a calculate button. A clear button is available to delete the data for a new analysis. Software performed quickly and accurately on the small datasets that I tested.
Cons
Although excellent software, Statistics Calculator 3 did not receive a 5 star rating from me as I think some improvements could be made. The menu bar should be redesigned for the casual user. Descriptive statistics should be listed on the left, then distributions etc. Also, it would be nice to view the statistical results in graph form. Another drawback is the lack of an import data feature so that larger datasets can be imported therby reducing data transcribing errors. Also, the help file is rather short on explanation. Purchasers are expected to buy a companion book if they want more detailed explanations.

"Great, simple stat package"
Version: Statistics Calculator 3
Pros
I loved this calculator's simplicity. It is also very broad - you can do a lot with it.
Cons
I'd like a little more flexibility, such as the ability to change p values in a t-test.

"An Excellent Product"
Version: Statistics Calculator 3
Pros
The only tool I need to publish clinical research. I used the Chi Square and Matched Pair t test between means functions for my research. The calculator was easy to use and no manual is necessary. I would highly recommend it for basic research.
Cons
Database capability is limited for large population sizes. I used Excel and entered the data (each group had a N of greater than 300) and calculated the mean and standard deviation. I then entered these values into StatPac to perform the Matched Pair t Test.

"OK, but needs to be more helpful to beginners"
Version: Statistics Calculator 3
Pros
Straight forward menus.
Cons
A product aimed at statistics novices should be more helpful with regard to choosing the appropriate technique. An interactive decision tree would be a useful addition.

"I'm in market research and use it for all my margin of errors calculations."
Version: Statistics Calculator 3
Pros
It's really easy to use to calculate your margin of errors for means and/or proportions. It's also great for testing for difference in means or proportions. I use these almost daily as a market research consultant.

"a helpful tool"
Version: Statistics Calculator 3
Pros
the statpac statistics calculator is a great desktop tool. i needed to personally run a series of t-tests to ease my mind about a set of data tables that were passed on to me. i used the statistics calculator to double-check the results i was reporting and my research client was pleased to hear about the reliable statistical differences.
i am very happy i found this software to help make my job easier and me more confident in my reporting.
