"Can be Problematic"
Version: Startup Guard 3.25
Pros
It is a good utility to have when it works properly. It warns when a program gets added to your start-up folder and it is free
Cons
I have found it to be unstable and buggy. This may be due to overly aggressive virus app. I have but I have uninstalled it each time after using it for awhile.
Summary
Fine if it doesn't cause conflicts

Cons
I could probably get by without it.

The programs good, I like it, cuz it's improve my Windows StartUp, but I don't why, once after I've installed this software, My PC can't shut down. It's just freeze at shutting down screen, and nothing happens.
After I uninstall this software, My PC can shut down as normal. -
"I'm not impressed."

Cons
A lot of annoying unecessary alerts.

"Does what it says, however it leaves a fealing of dread"
Version: Startup Guard 3.25
Pros
It speeds up the start up sequence, after you reboot, by not starting the programs that I told it not to start.
Cons
I have no idea about the implications of what I told it not to run. There is no real way to find out if I told it the right thing. I may have done a great thing and have my computer start up faster, or I may have screwed something up....I do not know
Summary
This is easy to use.. maybe too easy. It lines out all the programs that are in your start up routine. Things like "QuickTime".. ok I can figure out I do not need it all the time (my wife has an IPod) but some of the line items I can click and they are not started up. The background that they give you is a Google search of the startup file, which may be useful, if you believe all the advice you see on the internet.... (pause for irony to set in). Anyway, yes, this speeds up my start up, however I do not know if my start up is safe any more, and if I turn off something I should not have, I am not sure how to get my computer booted up again.
