Version: Starport Command 1.1
"Quite taxing on your computer"
Summary: The opening screen to Starport Command ran well enough, but once I got into the game itself, it bogged down even worse than playing the Half Life mods Counter-Strike or TFC when my ping is about 1000. My computer is a 450 mhz, but those multiplayer first person shooters, which I would have thought to be far more stressful on such an old system, frequently run much better. In fact, I wonder if Starport was pulling data off a website or something. This game is fully 3D, but I think it could have accomplished its purpose far better had it been simple 2D, and it wouldn't have bogged down so badly. Get a high end computer if you want to play it.
