    Pros

great if you a kid who wants to play a console game on the pc

    Cons

this used to be a good game the sony introduced the "new game experience" that removed two thirds of the professions. you can no longer do what you want when you want how you want. you choose a profession, then your stuck with it unless you delete your character and start again. if you have any problem with using a mouse..tough sony aren't interested in you as the whole game revolves around using your mouse.

this game is dying..before the recent changes i enjoyed this game..i'd play for 8 hours a day, i stayed a three weeks after this latest change to the game, but had to leave as it is now rubbish, too many bugs, too hard to gain decent experience so its near impossible to gain levels after you reach level 30 and in the "demo version" of the game, you can't leave the starter station oh, and in the main game the NPC's *don't* use voice to give you the quests

Most things have a keyboard shortcut so it is possible to play without a mouse. But who would want to try flying a spacecraft with keyboard? The more complex modern games, the more a mouse is useful. The mouse is a standard part of a computer since early 1990's, so a game that uses it doesn't seam that far out of the question.

I expect that what Sony has done, is a rescue package. Take a great game which had major problems, and initially solve many by cutting large chunks of the game (bug ridden parts) to make it more 'playable'. The game was dying before Sony came into the picture, it is a question of if the game will be revived. Isn't the question about the game now, not about the former owners who were not making a sucess of the game? So far there have been comments from some 'former' players who sound like they have had a babies rattle taken away from them. They complain about Sony, bugs now, no mention of bugs before, or the reduction in bugs now. Any game this size will have some transitional problems which will improve.

If one can't gain xp, need to hunt in more difficult areas where one can get more xp - if these are places that get you killed, party up.

In the main game not hearing voice to give quests? Not sure about this, as I prefer to get a written message for a few seconds than a 5 minute drawn out 'chat'. Me, I prefer to play a game than listen to some NPC's voice for ages. So playing any game I cut out the voice very early in playing. The game has many options on how one can play - some dictated by the hardware the player has. It is a high end game requiring good equipment, so if some high end 'options' are not available it may be the computer is not up to the job.
