"I liked it...."

Pros
Well You can Play as Borg, Federation, Romulans, or Klingons... I liked the fact that you can do so many things under your comand that you wouldnt be able to in many other games. In this game you can control the Weapons, Transporters, Self Destruct, and you build your own ships and tell them where to go and what to do... I liked this game.
Cons
The only bad part is that it takes so much prossessing time that I cant run any other programs while its playing.

Summary
This is an excellent game. The best part is that it's Star Trek. Armada is a pretty good strategy game, except for the fact that the computer has almost no strategy. Yeah, the AI really is quite bad. The only way to get anything out of it is to edit the AI files. Anyway, Captain Picard and Commander Worf provide their voices for the game, which is pretty neat. I didn't notice too many bugs except the freezing once in a while, but after I updated my drivers that stopped.

The idea is good, the graphics are nice, but the sound... man, it really stinks, it was fine with a soundblaster pci 128 card, but with an expensive 5.1 all surround card and speakers, only half sentices came out of the speaker. Also... when i completed a mission or went from a game to the in-game menu the system just locks up, or returns to the desktop, now ive encountered some of this instability with several other programs and i found out that it was because of a amd athlon processor... it just wasn't 100% compatible with the game, now there was a time a pentium xx was all people knew there was... but with the upcoming market position of amd in the past few years, i think software development companies as in "activision" should give more attention to the potential that people actually might <
