I works good alot of the time. Its easy to use. The interface is nice also.
Cons
To many file not found errors, and when i uninstall it those same downloads work just with windows download. I can't download one thing from cnet with star downloader.

After I downloaded Star I added a second user to my computer. The second user could not search in our browser. After hours of research we found that Star changed a setting that caused our browser to give a blank screen and not the search results. We unchecked the box and now were able to search. It downloads some things but sometimes does not. I tried to uninstall it and got a message that I could not because a file was missing. The Star help screen said to re-install Star and then uninstall it. Problem is when I try to downlord Star I get a message that the file can not be found. So great, it will not download itself. Do not put yourself through this grief. Do not download the free version of Star Downloader.

"Good, but not always loads faster"

Pros
Splits files into segments, allowing them to download simultaneously, which does save time. It's great if you've only come online to download one file.
Cons
If you have a slow internet connection, then it's definately worth a go. But if you're on an already fast connection, then you won't notice the difference much. It's still worth a try though.
