"Nice software but service stinks!"
Version: Stamps.com 4.0
Cons
Easy to start the service but impossible to cancel. They require you to call in to cancel. After being on hold for over 30 mintues three days in a row I tried to email my cancelation request. Got a response after 30 mintues telling me to call in. Awful customer service.

"Not easy or ethical."
Version: Stamps.com 4.0
Cons
I own a business and, for the type of mailings I do, Stamps.com was extremely time-consuming. After paying for two months, I cancelled by email. I received a "sorry to see you go" email with no mention of having to cancel by phone. About three weeks, and another billing cycle later I found out you have to call. I called and went through the long-winded recordings only to be given a seperate number 877-782-6736 (for those planning to cancel). It took about 10 minutes to cancel AND I'm being charged for yet another billing cycle. I haven't used the service in 3 months.

"Stay away from stamps.com!"
Version: Stamps.com 4.0
Pros
Nothing Good about stamps.com unless your a millionaire!
Cons
I made a mistake opening a stamps account! I put $20 in to buy stamps. The first page of stamps I printed out had no problems, but the second one did. So I filled out a refund form, and mailed it in the next day. Today is September 18, and I called stamps.com, because you have to call in order to cancel. After waiting for 45 minutes I finally got a hold of someone. After canceling I asked a bout my $15 refund request, and come to find out I will not be getting my money back! I have to have an exsisting account in order to get a refund. I have just been robbed! $15 isn't a lot, but my husband and I work hard for our money! Don't open an account with stamps.com! Why pay $16 extra a month when you can just go to the post office, and not get ripped off! How can I report stamps.com anyways?

"Very nice"
Version: Stamps.com 4.0
Pros
All the previous reviews blast Stamps.com for not making it easy to cancel or that they got charged after the trial period. This has nothing to do with how good the product is. These are mooches who were trying to get free stamps. I own a business and while the $15.99/mo fee is high, I can choose contacts from Outlook and click on the Stamps.com icon and the program will verify all the addresses, include the final four numbers for the zip codes and then print the envelopes, (addresses, return info, stamps) all in one quick pass. I can't tell you how easy that makes my life since this is how I advertise my services. Additionally, I find that any envelope printed this way, get's delivered much quicker than normal. I only wish stamps.com supported more Contact Manager programs as I wouldn't want to change from Outlook to another program that wasn't supported by stamps.com, that's how valuable it is to me.
Cons
Has trouble processing more than 50 contacts at a time, frequent error messages if the number of contacts gets to big.

"Service is terrible, GUI is clunky & difficult."
Version: Stamps.com 4.0
Pros
They gave me $5.00 postage to try it.
Cons
Can sign up online, but have to call to cancel. First 3 tries I got busy signals. I called again and got through their menu only to be placed on death-hold. Still on hold, it's been 45 minutes, listening to god-awful muzak all the while. They are trying to get me to hang up, but it's worth not paying the monthly fee to hang in there and be done with these people. Wish I'd read these reviews before I signed up. :( Don't sign up, you'll regret it.
