"Takes forever to enter informatio. Not worth the time."
Version: StampCAT 10.13
Pros
cheaper than other program, but be warned. You get what you pay for & with this program, it's not much. You have to do all the work. Looking at their forum if you see the continuous bug list they fix all the time, it makes me think this is a hodge podge fix as you go program.
Cons
No data supplied. You have to enter ALL the information. I collect Japan, China , USA . Would take me several years to enter all the information. Not easy to enter all the data either. Program is way too complex to use also. I am no pc dummy, but my head is spinning from trying to figure out how to get a report after entering 20 stamps ( took me 30 minutes to copy information from gibbons catalog for 20 stamps!). Just not worth the time!
Summary
If you plan to live in front of your computer & enter data for ever, then this program may work for you. But for me, I have better things to do with my time- like working on my stamps. I plan to search for a better program. I know there must be programs out there with the data built in like images, prices & basic stamp info. I would not recommend this program.

At first glans maybe a little bit "overwhelming".Summary
When writing this the version number 10 have just bee released and I have been hanging in from version 5 way back to the 90's.
I have adapted the software to fit my stamp-collection, domicile-collection, banknote-collection and even my collection of military insignia of rank (as I mentioned, highly adaptable).
I have always had an eye to look out for other software to fulfill my needs. And believe me I have had no success in finding any replacement.
Give it a try, and remember to check out the userforum! -

"too much work, you have to put all the info in. no scott#'s"
Version: StampCAT 7
Pros
fairly easy to navigate but gets very combersome with many countries enetered.
Cons
Way too much work to enter all the stamp information. Other programs come pre-supplied with all the data, prices & scott #'s. Reporting was very weak & price calcs were wrong. Would not recommend. Much better programs out there - am now evaluating ezstamps

"What a wondeful tool !"
Version: StampCAT 5.10
Summary
The best choice to easely manage stamps, cards & coins collections.
I translated ALL fields names into Italian and now my children ( 6 and 10 ages !! ) use it easely to collect their Pokemon and Spiderman cards...Does that mean it is easy to use ?.. :-)
Powerful enough also for experienced users and full of fields for everything.
A very nice and powerful program.
