Version: Stamp 2.6
"Should come with every digital camera!"
Pros: I use this program to rename all the pictures I take. It helps keep things better organized than the HP software that my digital camera came with. It even has more features and versatility than the HP software (for naming files). The HP software would not let me change the format of the file name. Great program, very small.
Cons: Not very user friendly. The interface could use a more "Stamp 2.6 for dummies" feel. I understand the program well, but my wife won't touch it (make me do it for her).

Version: Stamp 2.6
Pros: This programs is short, sweet and does exactly what it needs to... no frills to hinder the execution. Extracts EXIF data to rename your photos and if you're like everyone else... you should have a nillion of digital photos by now. Even has a help function that fully explains the different filters for digi newbies.

Version: Stamp 2.6
"only renamer to use EXIF date & reset counter when day changes"
Pros: I needed a renamer to do the following:
day1-photo1
day1-photo2
day2-photo1 ( not day2-photo3 )
This was the only one that could do it. And it also allows you to set the format of the day (yymmdd) and the counter (##).
Cons: None.

Summary: This is a no-brainer. Stamp sets the foundation for managing large sets of images. I shoot around 20,000 pictures a year and couldn't live without it. At first you might not "get" the way it names files but it'll make sense pretty quickly. Somewhere ... read more
