"Great email server, and great support"
Version: Stalker CommuniGate Pro 5.0.1
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've been using Communigate for several years (Mac OS 9 through 10.4) and it has been one of the most solid performers in our business. I have found customer support to be very responsive and most importantly, COMPETENT when it comes to solving problems. As a result, Communigate allowed us to manage our email without programmer-level (or even sysop level) IT staff.
To those who complain about the price, I'm sorry you don't see the value. I see nothing but value, and one less thing to worry about for our business. -
"Licening has changed dramatically"
Version: Stalker CommuniGate Pro 4.2.5
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
This company have just changed their licencing scheme to one that is totally outrageous. This has seen prices increases in the order of 400%. Unless you need MAPI support and dont want to use Exchange you may be better looking to open source! The irony of their new support pricing is that the community is self supporting in the main, but they are now charging maintenance fees! -
"STOP - BEWARE"
Version: Stalker CommuniGate Pro 4.2.5
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Stalker is fast becoming one of the most hated software company.BE BEWARE OF THEIR NEW LICENSING RULES AND PRICES.
All their users, including us, are now forced to migrate to other solutions.
It's really a shame to see this once loved company become worse than Microsoft.

"Awesome"
Version: Stalker CommuniGate Pro 4.2.4
Summary

Been using this for about a month now. Not a single problem. Must say that the installations is a little tricky for non geeks, but if you can manage ater that it is smooth sailing! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a Professional , FAST, rock solid email server. I am taking one star off because the installation is a little tricky, although it seems that they are will to help. Installation is a breeze with the excepton, of having to use the terminal to find the password! Change this to make it easy for the novice and you would have 5 stars from me!
Great product, fast and hard to bet, I have tried them all and this is by far the best email server out there. It has so many options that it would take days to go through them! Great work.. -
"I love this software"
Version: Stalker CommuniGate Pro 4.2
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I started using CommuniGate Pro a year ago after using sendmail on a sun raq 4. I bought this software and put it on a 1GHz powermac. The computer is overkill but the combo has worked flawlessly ever since the initial set up.
I even bought several "HELP" sessions from communigate but have never needed to use them. I'd recommend this to anyone but I'd also recommend the virus and spam filtering. -
"near perfect"
Version: Stalker CommuniGate Pro 4.1.5

running CGP on a heavy used Mailserver (OSX 10.2.x) since one Year. NOT ONE PROBLEM so far, zero, nill, nada. It just runs and is rock solid, gets frequently updated (zero problem updates as well), has the best support I've seen from any developer ever :-) An amazing piece of code - I can only recommend it ! -
