Cons

Summary
Works in the background speeding up your internet experience and saving your bandwidth. I proxy the kids computers (PC, Mac and Linux work) so I can find out where they go when I am "not looking."

"Excellent App"
Version: SquidMan 1.8
Summary

Absolutely troublefree installation of Squid on your computer or server. I installed this on 2 servers; one of which is now linked to the other, since it connects over a wireless connection accross a street. Easy to install and easy to modify.
This app has saved me hours of download time when doing the updates on about 30 Macs in our school.
Highly recommended! -
"Invisible proxies"
Version: SquidMan 1.52

I use squdidman behind a Uni firewall. I have a squid network settings location, this allows software update and a number of proxy unfriendly system tasks to work.
I have had no problem setting squidman up or using it. Used 1.1 and now use 1.52. -
"Works"
Version: SquidMan 1.52

Works! A little better than past versions. On initial loads it (and this may be squid in general) is at least as fast as native browsing and cached items are much faster. Thanks!
I'd like to see dansguardian and the http_accel features added if possible. -
"Revision"

Tony Gray:
You're right. The program I was thinking of is Squid Manager, not SquidMan. This program is the superior of the two.
I sorted out my issue by deleting the .plist file for SquidMan and starting it again. It works fine now. It compliments Privoxy nicely. Between the two, I have a fast and private surfing experience.
