    Version: SpywareBlaster 4.1

Pros: What caught my attention of v.4.1 was the slick design, compared to SpywareBlaster 3.5.1. It had that Vista Aero feeling.

When I ran it, it was much faster than it's predecessor v.4.0

SpywareBlaster provides a good comprehension of what it's blocking and where it is blocking. It adds killbits where disables malicious Active-X's and ads from intervening.

Overall, SpywareBlaster is a great arsenal to your collection. It does not run in the background, but just one click and the protection is activated permanent.

Cons: Integrated support for Opera browsers.

A future idea would be something of a "real-time" protection and a "network shield". ;)

Also I forgot to mention that this fantastic lite weight utility is one of the best bad adserver blockers going. This can protect you from drive by attacks that try to place malware exploits on your session from bad ad servers. Some legit sites haven't even been able to stop crackers from doing these redirects. This is as "real time" as you can get buddy!

I've seen what kind of damage a .bat file can do to a machine once it is injected from an ad. It only takes seconds and they will get complete control of your computer using the local machine admin account.

SpywareBlaster is one of the few utilities that is so light on resources(uses none in fact) that can give your AV and other AS solutions a chance to use every ounce of RAM and CPU to fight the malware/virus threat. Don't sell it down the river.

Real time protection!?? Whaaaa! It does have real time protection! Spyware Blaster rigs you registry so no active x exploit can install in the first place. If you get the autoupdate version (which is cheap) this is one of the only truly effective protections for drive by exploits. Even legitimate web-sites can infect you now! This utility make a perfect companion for you other AS solutions as it takes literally NO RAM or CPU resource to operate. It simply blocks it in the first place. You never have to worry about it, unless it is an undefined active x object of course.

Some of us refuse to give in to the cyber terrorists, and we insist on using active x for the full web experience. If you like to turn things like that off, that is your business; not me or my clients - thank you very much!
