Pros
It does its work in silence, and with the updates, you are sure to block all the nasty spies (which I have suffered of once, and I can tell that it is not pleasant to get advertisement windows that spring in the middle of your screen every 5 minutes). Since I got SpywareBlaster, I never had to suffer of such problems anymore. I have had a look at the list of the forbidden items : there you can find well known commercial disturbances as Bargain Buddy, Falkag, etc., etc., but also thousands of porn and even (by the name, it seems to me) pedophile, racist, and so on, addresses. Moreover, you can nevertheless allow manually the specific addresses to be accessed if you really want to go there (at your own risks, but you are free to do so). Combined with a good antivirus, and with Ad-Aware to eliminate the few adwares which could have gone through, it is the perfect protection tool for your computer.
As for the automatic updates, I do not mention that in the cons : the software is given permanently to everybody for free, the manual updates take at most 2 minutes to do, and it is fair to pay a little if you want more ; after all, I think it must cost to developp the software, why not donating or paying a very little amount (it is less than 10 dollars, if I remember) to get a supplement of comfort ?

As part of a duel layer protection method, it works GREAT! Been spyware/malware/adware FREE for over one year.

Cannot update without uninstalling and reinstalling software.

This is only a spyware BLOCKER, it's does not track and destroy spyware. This is good if u do not like scanning and just like blocking.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it cannot scan the comp. Other than that it's GREAT!

Will do a good-to-great job of keeping spyware %#$@!& off your computer. (If coupled with a few other key apps, including Firefox for browsing, as well as SpyBot, SpywareGuard and Ad-Aware, you can kiss spyware goodbye forever because each program keeps out what the other ones won't catch, which is slim to nothing. ALL OF THESE ARE FREE APPLICATIONS. DO NOT SETTLE FOR PAYING FOR SIMILAR APPLICATIONS FROM GREEDY COMPANIES BECAUSE IT IS NOT NECESSARY. THE FREE ONES WORK BETTER ANYWAY.) SpywareBlaster runs in the background and you never see it. It is a very low resource eater and is very easy to keep updated.
Cons
Doesn't autoupdate definitions unless you pay. And for cryin' out loud CAN WE GET A FREE PROGRAM UPDATE FEATURE??? I'm tired of having to visit their website, download a new version, uninstall the old version, and install the new one...how about a "update to version x" feature. But when they do finally put it in, they'll (probably) charge for it. :rolls eyes:

I got this from a link from spybot search & destroy a well know and trusted tool together they work great. There is even a link from spybot's immunize page to go here if you have it downloaded.
