    "Like an old friend."

    January 23, 2014  |   By mronga49

    Version: SpywareBlaster 5.0

    Pros

Doesn't use many resources, works quietly in background.

    Cons

    None for me :)

    Summary

I have been using for many years and find this to be an excellent extra program to help slow down the tide of crapware. I see when ppl say it didn't catch something that its no good, but the fact is nothing catches or cleans everything. I find that using a couple of good antimalware programs is the way to go.... at least 4me.I have watched this app grow from stopping several hundred sites to several thousand. This may not be as useful with the newer O.S. but it still works. Try it you got nothing to lose and everything to gain in the search to protect your computer.

"clkmon.com hello. it cant even block this one."

    January 15, 2014  |   By napoleon2014

    Version: SpywareBlaster 5.0

    Pros

none. doesnt slow down computer because it doesnt do anything.

    Cons

if clkmon.com, a most common adware, can get thru, why have it. ill stick with adfender, it let it thru too, so why do i need this one also. i just added them to my host file. if i have to manually do this, why have this one. hello.

    Summary

if i have to manually add to host file to block clkmon.com, why have this one. hello. just use adfender for adblocking. i use cookiewall and ptfb (last free one) to click buttons. i set cookiewall to prompt and ptfb to click delete cookie. i NEVER have cookies. cookiewall by sourceforge works much better, but only if you prompt will it delete cookie, strange.

    "Protects Without Eating My Vista."

    November 30, 2013  |   By FreewareOnly

    Version: SpywareBlaster 5.0

    Pros

Doesn't hog or consume any resources.

    Cons

I haven't found any yet... although after running it the first time, I'm not really sure what to do with it now...

    Summary

I guess it's pretty good. I'm trusting that it did and is still doing something. It's hard to understand a program that actually does something very useful on my computer, yet doesn't eat up resources, bog things down, or annoy me in any other ways...

"i like it a lot. useful."

    June 16, 2013  |   By ChoiceVoice

    Version: SpywareBlaster 5.0

    Pros

-added spyware security (helps ie a lot if that's what you use).
    -host backup
-system backup. while not a complete one, it is good for numerous internet settings. i have played with proxies and parental control programs and accidentally killed my internet. this program saved me.
-doesn't eat resources or run in background or add startups. so its a no brainer to have.
    -free, no ads.

    Cons

-definitions for ie only (though, i think they now added chrome??).

    Summary

    excellent supplement for internet explorer.

    "Blocks spyware, but that's all"

    June 7, 2013  |   By cloudsandskye

    Version: SpywareBlaster 5.0

    Pros

    Above average spyware blocking.

    Cons

No spyware detection or removal capability. May occasionally block access to legitimate websites. Manual definition file updates, so no real time protection.

    Summary

Intended as a complement to existing antivirus software, not as a replacement.

    May 3, 2013  |   By maryhuff

    Version: SpywareBlaster 5.0

    Pros

Cant think of any pros since it doesn't seem to do anything!

    Cons

Installed and updated, then next day ran a scan with norton and superantispyware and both found plenty of spyware.

    Summary

Unless I'm missing the point, why is this getting such high ratings?

"The logo appears on my electronic brain"

    March 11, 2013  |

    Version: SpywareBlaster 5.0

    Pros

From my vantage point perched atop my people pedestal that some label a chair in front of my nifty new monitor that weighs a couple tons less than the immense, bulky CRT of yore It appears that the Spyware Blaster (SB) contraption consisting of combined binary digits one and zero that nothing negative is occurring.

Conversely, I am unable to determine if anything positive is the result of having the Spyware Blaster contraption embedded within those components inside the pieces and parts that, together as a whole, comprise the thinking part of my electronic brain device.

    Cons

The brain functions. I haven't seen the dreaded BSOD (blue screen of death) rear its evil and ugly head for a very lengthy time so SB obviously does not cause that dreaded ailment.

If I am unable to ascertain anything negative happening with SB doing its SB thing inside the brain I suppose Vulcan logic would proclaim that no cons exist.
