Version: Spyware Doctor 3.1
"You said freeware?"
Pros: Looks like it finds alot of viruses.
Cons: The software doesn't actually DO anything unless you pay for it. This is NOT freeware. (Maybe I should be mad at download.com?)

As there are so many people stating that this program does not remove spyware unless payment /registration is made I contacted
PC Tools and asked if there was a trial version that was scan only> It appears that this is the case,there are 2 free versions available,one will scan ,the other scan and clean.
sdinstall.exe file version 3.1.0.312 scans and cleans.
This is the file available at Download .com and is also available at PC Tools site. I have run the file from both sources and they definitely both scan and clean spyware in the free version as stated.
