Version: Spyware Doctor 4.0
"Use 5 freeware scanners and you wont need this."
Pros: It has a nice interface.
It comes with an active scanner.
Comes with a system innoculator to protect against different system exploits.
Comes with constant definition updates which you can update within the program.
Scan results are very clear.
Catecorizes cookies by type...Advertising, Tracking, Known Bad Sites.
Cons: Its not free.
The trial doesn't let you remove spyware/adware it finds. It at least tells you where it is, though, so you can manually delete it.
If you use Microsoft AntiSpyware, SpyBot, AdAware, SpyDefense, and Spyware Terminator (all of which are free) you won't even need this program.
I don't understand why this program gets a million downloads a week when the trial version doesnt even let you remove what it finds.

"It's Not The Best Antispyware"
Pros: Good interface and user frendly.Updates daily.Good detection of spyware.
Cons: Trial version dosen't remove spyware.False positive scanning, it told me I have 5 high threat spyware on my pc when it dosen't have one.Realtime protection dosen't block spyware at all in the first place.Uses high amount of memory and my pc crashed couple of times.Too much ads saying it's the best antispyware when it's not.Get Spysweeper it's all most the best Antispyware solution.

Version: Spyware Doctor 5
Pros: Spyware doctor will provide you with the best protection against infections, in my opinion. I know many of you are upset that Spyware doctor will not remove any infections in the free trial. But all the infections it finds in the scan are legit. Spyware Doctor did not give me any false positives, I just did a two hour test on this subject. I have the registered version on my C drive, all 6517 signatures and updates and it found 5 tracking cookies on my partitioned hard drive with a full system scan, I did not remove them. I then downloaded the trial version (that some reviewers say gives false positives) on my F drive and did a full system scan, and the trial version found the exact same 5 tracking cookies. So this proves Spyware Doctor does not give false positives!
Cons: It is a bit of a ram hog. If you have 256 MB of memory or less, it will slow your pc to a crawl. During it's scan you will not have enough ram left to run any other programs. It's best to let it scan while you are sleeping, and then remove the spyware when you wake up.

"Found a bug that AdAware didn't"
Pros: Everything about this program warrants high marks: it's easy to install and use, scans relatively quickly, slick looking interface, and IT'S FREE!! I honestly thought the free scanner market was monopolized by AdAware and Spybot, looks like they have competition now. SpyDoctor found a tracking cookie that AdAware missed but they all find bugs that others miss. I'm sure that AdAware and Spybot will tag something that SpyDoctor doesn't someday.
PcTools makes excellent products you can trust. I also have RegMechanic and it's a fine product as well.
Thanks to steve89z for recommending this fine product. :)
Cons: None. And I really do mean that.
I also use AdAware, Spybot, and Bazooka for spyware scanning, AntiVir for virus/trojan scanning, and Hijack This! for browser hijackers. All are free and can be found on this site.
THE SINGLE BEST WAY TO KEEP ADWARE OFF YOUR COMPUTER: Use a web browser OTHER than Internet Explorer. I personally and highly suggest Mozilla Firefox.

"Dont know why this has so much downloads"
Pros: Yeah its good, blocks sites which are harmful and detects some spyware that ad aware cannot. Ad aware and Spyware Doctor goes good together like Ad aware and SpyBot SD.
Cons: Ram Hogger, slow start up and the trial is only for scanning. I wished they at least tried to fix how much ram it hogs but they failed once again....
All my other products like Zonealarm security Suite, Ad aware - Ad watch and AVG start up really quick while I have to wait for this damn thing to load up after 1minute later....
