Version: Spyware Doctor 3.1
Pros: Cleans and guards your pc. It even gets rid of some things your anti-virus misses. I really like the cookie blocker. Good protection and worth paying for, I feel. TWO thumbs UP!

Version: Spyware Doctor 3.1
"Computer Geek Says: A Great addition to your PC Security"
Pros: A superior product indeed. I use this, Spware Sweeper (from Webroot), Ad Aware, and Spybot. This program finds things that the others don't (as every spyware scanner finds its own things that others don't).
The good thing about this particular scanner is, not only is it a spyware scanner, it checks for trojans, Hijacked web-pages, malicious web pages, malicious browser helper objects, and it immunizes your computer like Spybot does, but has some different fields.
Do yourself a favor, Add this to your arsenal. There is a free version of this and a pay versioin. Also, get Ad Aware, and Spybot (both free and available here on download) and seriously consider getting Spysweeper from Webroot. These 4 are a tough combination for any spyware or malware to come up against.
I recommend and give it 4.9 stars (out of 5)
Cons: Only 1 con. (Unless you're a cheap-o and think that paying for the full version is a con)... The initial scan time for a full scan takes over an hour. However, it does an extremely thorough scan and looks for things other ad finder programs do not. Worth the wait and the money.

"Cut the BS and call it how it is"
Pros: The simple facts are that these days your chances of being hit with something a tad more malicious than a tracking cookie while web surfing are pretty high. Browser hijackers, keylogers and malware of all kinds .. all bad .. are out there big time and growing. Simple FACT is as good as Spybot and Ad Aware are they more often than not, miss the real nasty malware. So don't kid yourself if you think you're covered just using those 2 apps these days. I don't work for PC Tools or any software developer so im calling this as honest as you will get. I tried this out for 22 days and I found that it did as good a job as Webroot and way better than Spybot and Ad Aware together. Don't listen to the BS from the dumb and dumber cuz most of that is just plain garbage scare off lies. Try it yourself and if you give it a fair go you will probably be glad you did. Personally I will keep this and I totally agree with the other guy who suggested running 3 or 4 spyware apps, I will run this Webroot, Spybot and Ad Aware too and yeah 2 of them cost but its a whole lot better than the hassle the other dopes are suggesting.
Cons: I think it would be more accurate to call this a trial version rather than free. On that point I agree with the whiners. I think its about time developers call it how it is and they might get a bit more support if they did, especially if the product is good enough on its own merits as this one is.

Pros: the best part ist the interface, very fresh, very smart ! it displays the scan results clearly with location details as well as description of the spyware. moreover it properly removes all that it detects, sometimes after a boot though ! the paid version also appears to have real-time protection,a browser monitor & a pop-up blocker. you have to update manually though; but so what ?! the products free !

"Excellent program, check out these others"
Pros: I have done alot of online reasearch and reading about all of the programs I will list, if you are like me and dislike bullcrap and lies, as well as paranoid about putting any crap on your computer, and like to keep your computer running fast and not bloated, I recommend the following programs for anyone to use, and they are free, so pls do not forget to donate a small amount to each, to keep up the development......SPYBOT S&D, ADAWARE SE PERSONAL, MICROSOFT ANTI-SPYWARE, SPYWARE BLASTER, THE GIMP IMAGE EDITOR( simply download and install gtk runtime first), SPYWARE DOCTOR( must update yourself, but other than that a good scanner and remover in the free version), MOZILLA FIREFOX(secure browser) EPROMPTER EMAIL ORGANIZER( for multiple email account organization) TRILLIAN INSTANT MESSAGE & CHAT CLIENT (all in one chat accross all popular chat networks) TWEAK NOW REGISTRY CLEANER( another free registry cleaner and reduce bloated registry and errors in registry) HANDY BITS EASYCRYPTO ENCRYPTION PROGRAM(not availible on download.com, so just do a search for it....very secure and easy way to keep private files private....and free for personal use) one program(s) I did purchase was the EXTENDIA SECURITY SUITE AND ANTIVIRUS PRO which is an antivirus program that comes with 8 other security programs like a firewall, anti-ad and spam filter...etc, for only 39.99$, and if you go online and reasearch Extendia AV, you will see that it uses Kaspersky's engine and the RAV engine at the same time, and in tests, performed better than 99% of all the other antivirus programs, at a fraction of the price.....they even use microsoft and kaspersky technology combined in a dual engine scan and monitor.....I had Norton, and my RAM use at start up was 230MB, after uninstalling Norton and Buying EXTENDIA, my RAM usage dropped to 175MB.
Cons: If anyone found these comments usefull, and has a suggestion for me, pls email me......steverope@hotmail.com have a great online experience, and I hope some of these recommendations have helped, I have nothing to gain here, just want to shut down the spyware makers and virus writers, to make the internet secure and fun, as well as functional, without having to worry about having major problems......The Gimp image editor is really good open source program, almost as good as Photoshop.....don't pay attention to the people who say that the install is hard, just download GTK runtime first, install it, then download and install the Gimp....it's that simple. One more good program is OPEN OFFICE a good business and word program, you can even import your microsoft office documents and edit them with open office(cross compatible) Any thing I missed which is good, pls let me know, steverope@hotmail.com regards, deebles
