"Tech support poor. Browser guard won't support Firefox."

Has the ability to schedule updates and scans in the middle of the night to avoid bogging down the computer
Cons
Browser Guard does not work with Firefox. Support chat is buggy. If you type to much detail in the window before contacting tech it will close the window. If you type too much detail in the chat window it will disconnect. I got disconnected 5 times in an hour, tech took my call back number but never called back. After you enter all the information in the pre-chat window, tech needs you to repeat it all once you are connected.

Good product but support is terrible.

"Spyware 2012 very bad"

Have used their PCTools Registry & works fine.
Cons
When I received email to upgrade my Spyware Dr with Antivirus it hasd totally messed up many files & their techs aren't musch help.
PCTools is aware of the coimpatabiity issue with the 2012 version but refuse to correct the messed up files on my PC,.
Shame on them -

I have been a user of Spyware Doctor with Antivirus and other PC Tools products for years and have been generally satisfied. Approximately 4 months ago, I started having problems with my iTunes store. Spent hours loading and unloading the program. The problem started again this past weekend. After spending HOURS, I finally found a post that indicated that the most recent version of Spyware Doctor would not allow the iTunes store to load. I followed the instructions, as soon as I uninstalled Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus, iTunes store would load. I downloaded the new version as directed which did not fix it. Spent more time on line with the tech chat support and the guy said "I will email something to try to fix it". That never came. I uninstalled it and loaded the new Norton version. My computer is running much faster now without Spyware Doctor. If you use iTunes, stay away!

Doesn't install properly on Vista SP2 will all updates. Tech support is by email so it is SLOOOOW! After 12 hours of my time and running with no antivirus I gave up and am running Panda Free along with Threatfire.

Disappointing. I have always heard good things about spyware Doctor with antivirus. It won't even install properly! Ironically Threatfire another of there products installs fine!

Spyware Doctor itself is a renegade hoax program, which takes advantage of people with spyware problems. When doing a google search for a known spyware/malware, avoid anything that offers a "removal tool", as it will lead you to Spyware Doctor.

Slows older PCs to a crawl so they appear to be frozen. Right clicking in systray and choosing to stop the scan does not work. Comes with a bunch of other crapware.
Summary
My mom loaded this thinking it was spybot (which she continues to pronounce spyboat after numerous corrections). I'm still waiting 10 minutes for it to stop so I can uninstall it.

"GREAT Virus removal program"

It is a learning program. It always ask for permission to allow programs to run. Had a nasty virus and it removed all traces of it.
Cons
Does not tell you exactly what you have installed, ie. internet security only or the complete package with virus protection
