I run Win98se and this software loads and runs without any problem. It scans on start-up and monitors while the computer is on. I've checked using other spyware programs and Spyware Begone cleans well.

I have been an internet user since all there was only DOS. Spyware is a never-ending problem. While I don't want to have to thoroughly test each and every program I ever use, I DO use diligence before AND after I install a program to use on my machine. I was fortunate to have not got one of the fakes. This program works! It stays out of my way unless some kind of junk gets on my machine. I have not found ANY program that detects ALL spyware as the small minds that make that crap are always busy making new ones. The best defense I've found is in using good sense about the sites I visit. Spyware Begone does a good, TROUBLE-FREE, job of taking care of what I miss. When I am surfing the web I want to SURF THE WEB and not spend a lot of time dealing with the problems that come with surfing. Spyware Begone lets me do that.

Would not update.Then I got a security warning saying it had blocked all communications with spyware begone a "known fake antispyware"
I even tried allowing "Spyware Begone" within my security suite, but it was still blocking it.
I had to uninstall.

well for one thing it has a fast scan, finds stuff that otherers didnt and i found 2 browser hijakers on my pc on internet explorer 6 although the othere spyware software i have didnt do that i read all about the company the told me in the letter about what they do gids rid of about blank , stops you home page from being hijacked puts a gurd on it alert me if its changed easy not a large file 2to3mb file size works on win xp vista 2003

well there is not any thing i dfont6 like about it it preforms well it scanned my hard drive in 10 minutes and i have a 200gb hard drive so i have nothing bad to say its a legitemite company trying to stop internet fraud scam all the nasties that cyber crroks do and its not spyware or malware or a virus

This application seems to be in a conflict with Anti-Spyware Report(s) and was carried/listed in previous trial testing from reputable sources as: top-line invasive "spyware" with hidden agenda of adware.was just recently reviewed and released from this category as a (now) reputable source for anti-spyware use for pc users ...This company,has filed legitimate report and made request to "FBI" for assistance as,other programs seem to have made a clone copy of spyware begone and has used its resources to beleager and trick users into thinking that they were getting the "Real-Thing"when in-fact it is and was a forgery.This has underminded this company and its reputation as a whole and underminded the sucess that is rightly deserved by this well made program.I have teted this program and found that it "Truly" is,A fine program to have when it comes to fighting the derelicts out there today. lastly...This is a very-well made product but,be sure you are downloading the REAL spyware begone program and not the fake that is on the loose att. Do your Home-work before downloading just anything..Semper-Fi

The software seems okay. Easy to use, explanatory popups. Detected a couple of spyware incidents. Has A full scan feature plus a quick scan, which is convenient.
Cons
I'm not sure I trust this software for a very good reason: it doesn't provide a list of what it's found, do you HAVE to trust it. Trouble is that you may likely delete something innocent and mess some installation up. It needs a list of found hijacks and trojans. Also, for some strange reason, while I had it running, it wouldn't let me access this page. I had to stop the program running to do that.

wow! It works good. Before this installation, I found 5 spies in my pc. But after installation, it said that spies were removed successfully without erasing any files!
