ActiveX cleaner, bho cleaner, host file locker/editor, uninstall helper, system start-up editor, and several other powerfull tools. Very easy to use.
Cons
Not the best scanner out there.
Summary
Try it for your self. You will like it.
PS: Make sure to turn Advance Mode on to be able to use all the good stuff. -

I have three anti spyware on my computer and I always run this last as it gets everything that's leftover that the others don't get. I used to use AdAware, but no longer. It just stopped working one day and wouldn't upgrade. Never had a problem like that with the Spybot!

good at removing a variety of spyware including some of the pesky types others leave behind, like virtumonde for example.

its database is just not large enough and in my view it is just not reliable enough to be a full time 24 /7 program, as far as its, tea timer and immunization features go, read below....
Summary
spybot has been around a long time, and deserves to be around longer, but the days where it can be a reliable full time app are gone in my view.
i have had very bad luck with its tea timer and immunization features, every time i enabled it my other accounts on vista would be erased, when i uninstalled spybot they came back as if nothing ever happened. so i ONLY use it as an on demand anti spy program, i did not download its tea timer feature, immunization updates, or security center integration. i only use it as an on demand scanner which is its most affective use in my judgment. -

Spybot is free and works perfect.TeaTimer prevents unwanted registry changes.

Scan speed is a little slow. I can find nothing else wrong.
Summary
Both immunization and the on-demand scan are able to access a different browsers , including IE7 or Firefox that I use. Easy user interface.
Works great to repair registry and fix browser hijacks.
Immunize feature blocks the installation of spyware before it occurs.

Simple, effective, and the 'Tea Timer' is great peace of mind.
Cons
Some false positives but once you know what they are it's no big deal. Rather a false positive than let things through.

FREE! Easy to use. Catches many things Norton or McAfee do not.
I had AOL (McAfee) Spyware running every day and finding 20-30 spyware or tracking cookies, so it really wasn't elininating them. Spybot lets you know which sites are infecting you..Cons
Spybot can interfere with updates for Norton and other program installations since it attempts to warn you of programs trying to make registry changes (allow or deny)

Want to know why they rate this program poorly? Installl Spybot and come back, and a little popup will give you the answer! It's nice to know which sites are trying to infect you with spyware!
